  1. Forgot just how much I love this song.

  2. Me disappearing entirely. A daily wish for me. Like *poof* vanish kind of thing. I have so very little to actually look forward to these days, other than anxiety and intense self loathing of course.
  3. Found this song today. It is one of those songs that reminds me why I love music.

  12. Been in a posty posting mood this morning. Time for me to go on my walk of sorts. o3o

  13. The first three seasons of Spongebob are near and dear to me, so that would be my top pick. There simply haven't been many other cartoon shows that have left such an impact on me. One of my other favourites though? Code Lyoko, and my love for it is rather recent. A friend of mine introduced me to it a few years ago, and we watched the entire series (Evolution doesn't count) over the course of 2 and a half years, we took our time with it. It is honestly great. If I had known about it in its prime, I would've fallen in love with it back then. Odd would've also been an early crush of mine. The entire show is officially on Youtube for free for anyone that is ever curious. Really hope it can get a reboot or continuation at some point. It would have way more relevance now than back in 2003, with the advancements of technology. Scooby-Doo Where Are You is another honorable mention.
  14. Dark Souls has some of my favourite storytelling and lore of any piece of media. I remember when I was telling my boyfriend about the story, someone who has never played a Souls game, and he was immensely fascinated by it all. The entire basis of the story is rather depressing and bleak, but that's part of what makes it so unique. Not to mention, this is a Japanese-written story, and it is easily some of the greatest subtle storytelling of all time. I personally feel that the Japanese (usually) aren't exactly great as subtlety and way too often fall back on tropes and clichés. I have fallen out almost the entirety of Japanese anime as a result. The Souls games feel like the exact opposite. My one disappointment with it all? The severe under-utilization of Aldia. He wasn't even in the original version of Dark Souls 2, and is, I think, only mentioned ONCE in Dark Souls 3. I really wanted to know more about him, and hear his incredible voice again.
  15. Mechina's most recent album, Bellum Interruptum. While it doesn't have a track as amazing as Praise Hydrus, the record overall is consistently great.
  16. Youtube has long been a cesspool. It promotes the worst of the worst, all because that's what makes the money. So many people that actually provide something positive are often buried, unless they get lucky and hit it big, which they then are bound by the chains of Youtube's trash algorithmic system. They essentially have to kneel down to that algorithm like it is a deity, which is a negative influence. A perfect showcase of the ruination that hardcore capitalism brings.
  17. Genetic Mistrust by Tactical Sekt. My favourite song of theirs, and one of my top favourites of the genre.
  18. My favourite has always been Leonardo. Obviously there is my bias for his colour, but I also like his weapon choice. Dual-wielding blades is pretty swaggy.
  19. I've had such mixed feelings towards Helluva Boss as of late. The way Stolas has been entirely weakened bothers me (the trial in which this was decided was beyond cliché), and the shorts have not impressed me at all. This recent news about Helluva Boss being on Prime and likely getting crossovers with Hazbin, I feel all of that is overcomplicating everything. It all feels like a corporate move. They also said in the update video that animation takes a long time. Yes, it does, so...why are they doing the shorts then? I feel like those are going to take up resources and time that could be spent on the actual shows. The only decent short so far was the goat one, and it isn't like that one was a masterclass of writing either. If HB and Hazbin crossing paths could mean Lucifer putting Satan in his place, that would be a huge positive, at least. I do love how Blitzo was written in Sinsmas, that felt like true character development, as well as Loona stepping up when she saw Blitzo hesitating. There are definite positives, but I can't shake this feeling of uncertainty.
  20. Most bosses in Elden Ring. I personally found Elden Ring to be incredibly disappointing, and the bosses were a big reason why. There's so many copy and paste bosses, most of whom aren't made anymore difficult in subsequent fights unless they are made into a two vs one battle, which is just cheap difficulty. The rest of the bosses, while having good design, are so overly aggressive, have unreasonable damage output, and input read so much that fighting them solo and in a more traditional Souls-like way is infuriating. The bosses were clearly design with summoning in mind, be it other players or the ashes. It kills the single player experience for me. The worst of the worst are Melania, Margit, any of the tree sentinels, and of course any multi-boss fight. I've heard the DLC only goes further with this flawed design philosophy. Sekiro is my personal favourite FromSoft game, despite some of its flaws, and I like most of the bosses in the game. Demon of Hatred is trash though. It is just sooooooooooo tedious.
  21. Being "weird" simply makes us unique, and we can see the good in the simple things in life. I'd say that's a pure positive.
  22. Happy Bunny Day to you all. 🐰
