  1. So apparently this feature launches today. With some of the new info, I gotta say...Sony is dropping the ball hardcore with this. First one, discs are not supported in any way at all. That is a first strike. Secondly, you have to repurchase these games no matter what, as any PS2 classics purchased on your PS3 will not work and three, there are only gonna be 8 games out of the gate. I remember some people being so very upset about the Xbox One starting with over 100 titles when the feature was introduced. This is abysmal in comparison. And on the Xbox One, your discs will work! Though you have to be connected to the internet for the initial download as far as I know. Not to mention, PS3 games are not included in on this at this point.

It is honestly disappointing, I really thought Sony was gonna do something special with this, but even Microsoft has made something far better in terms of backwards compatibility. I am hoping Sony can improve this feature somehow, if possible.

  3. I does have a channel, username is KyoshiLonehearted. I have not done Scythian with it in a good while though, I was doing gaming streams on a regular basis which was really fun, but for a little while, I just have not been up for doing them. Different reasons for that but maybe eventually I will get back into it.

  4. Oh wow. :o My only small nitpick is that the edges of the mane and tail are a bit overexposed, just a bit too bright, but this is VERY well done. The edge thing might just be a personal nitpick. The image looks so smooth and colorful, I love the style. :) Thank you for sharing it. ^__^

  5. I have noticed that I do not watch many shows at all nowadays. Something I feel like I should really alleviate but me brain is scattered a lot. XD

As for some shows I do watch nowadays, besides MLP:

    • Spongebob Squarepants, the first few seasons specifically
    • Game of Thrones, I need to continue it
    • Attack on Titan, where is my season 2? D:
    • Cosmos, because Cosmos is friggin amazing
    • I started Fullmetal Alchemist, I need to continue it as well

Those are the main ones at this point. I need to branch out a bit.

  6. It seems Nintendo games, for whatever reason, they hold their value quite a bit over the years. For example, Super 64 DS, a DS LAUNCH title from over 10 years ago, was still at minimum $25 at most stores, it was only until recently that they dropped it in price because the game is now on Virtual Console. Also, a lot of Nintendo games seem to really set themselves apart form each other, minus some exceptions. Like how Mario Kart DS has a lot of things that set it apart from Mario Kart 7 and so on, instead of 7 just feeling like a sequel.

  7. The fandom isn't dying. It is just rather tame now. Main reason for this, I assume, is because we are pretty much the norm now. there was a time when the fandom was just everywhere on the internet, but one of the contributor's to that was just how shocking it was that our fandom even existed in the first place. Now, everyone is used to it and things are a lot more quiet. The fandom is just in a normal state at this point.

  8. Seeing these posts makes me smile, nice to see that demos have assisted in helping people find great games or avoid ones that might not be such.

    Here is one from me:

    Dynasty Warriors 4

I had a PS2 demo disc way back when that contained a demo for this game on it, among others. Never played a Dynasty Warriors game before this in my life so I did not know what to expect, but this particular demo made me love the game and I played it countless times while saving up for the game. Needless to say, I was not disappointed, as the full game has boatloads of content compared to the demo and I still enjoy the game to this day, 12 years later. ^__^

  10. /sadface its true.

the brony fandom has been dying bit by bit ever since S3... damn, I remember when pony sites were freaking jumping all the time :(

even comparing S4 to S5 traffic is insane.

The fandom not being at it's peak does not mean it is dying. It just means that the insane hype over us is gone away. Remember when bronies were the talk of the internet? Now we aren't, we have been around for a good while and while there are still people who treat us like aliens, we are pretty much becoming completely accepted now. Not as much drama, not as much discussion, so things are pretty tame now. Much more quiet. Doesn't mean the fandom is falling apart or something.

After this show ends, the fandom won't. We know this. The show will live on in a different sort of way. Fan creations, in our discussions, in our theories, extended lore in books and whatnot, even long after the show ends, we aren't going anywhere. This hiatus for example does not bother me one bit. Not even 16-bits! (Ha! Video games) I am just enjoying what we have now and enjoying the community, that won't change after the show ends.

  11. This is a bit of a random one but it could be an idea:

    Sekasorto

Now one might be wondering what that means. That is the Finnish word for chaos, or one of the translations at least. Not a traditional name by any means for FiM but it could be something. To be honest I am not the best at coming up with names, but using certain translations can be quite fitting.

  12. I doubt she would approve, but honestly, I can't care about what she thinks. She created the show, yes, I am grateful to her for that much, but from what I know her vision for the show was a lousy one overall. I mean, the show was gonna end originally at season 3 with her at the helm, which is actually pretty typical for a 'children's' show. Her leaving allowed the show to go far beyond the generic standard of a show like this. Not only that, but as we have seen, this show has been able to branch into many different areas now. I have a feeling that the insane fight between Twilight and Tirek would never have happened if Faust was in charge still.

The show has very likely gone in a different direction than what Faust intended originally, but I honestly think that is for the better.

  13. With the recent disastrous release of Chivalry Medieval Warfare on Xbox One (I made a thread here about it: https://mlpforums.com/topic/143249-why-you-should-not-buy-chivalry-medieval-warfare-on-xbox-one-lets-discuss-it/ ), I had a little experience with some customer support form Xbox, which I dreaded. For some reason, some companies just have terrible customer support. Whether it be because of harsh employees, outsourcing the jobs to places where English is not even a second language, customer service is just something that is sometimes frowned upon.

So I contacted customer support about getting a refund on that game and I could not call them but instead I did a text chat with a service member. And guess what? It went fantabulously!! What? Yeah, it was awesome. I had my money back within 5(!) minutes and the employee was incredibly friendly and to the point. Friggin awesome. That put me in a good mood seeing such wonderful service. I was able to leave feedback for the service immediately after that and needless to say, I gave him full praise.

So, this makes me want to ask, what are some of your best customer service experiences? I was thinking of asking about best and worst, but I am in such a good mood about this recent happening, I only want to focus on positive experiences. Let's discuss some good moments! :)

  14. Chivalry is a game that I kept hearing os much about because of its PC release and you know what, I really loved the idea. It looked fun, visceral, and very satisfying and it also is a fresh take on the competitive multiplayer genre. I wanted to play this but I never realized there was a 360 port until recently, I had already got the Xbox One so I decided to wait until that eventual release. Well, it is here! AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaand...it absolutely sucks. Now, here is the thing, the PC version looks awesome, it does and I have no doubts that it is fun beyond beleif, but here...well, it is abysmal.

Activision has the publishing reigns on the console versions and that right there is a huge red flag, but it is clear that the console ports were made by a team that clearly does not care about Torn Banner's original creation. Torn Banner had nothing to do with these ports as far as I know. This version is so bad, that it is now the first ever Xbox One digital title that I have had fully refunded by Microsoft. Yeah, I was able to get a full refund on this title because of how terrible it is. Let's go down the list really quick.

    The Xbox One version:

    • Looks like an Xbox 360 launch title from 2005
    • Has horrendous hit detection
    • Lag issues abound
    • Feels floaty and unresponsive
    • And to top all of this madness off, it runs at an unstable 30fps while the PS4 runs at 60fps, all despite that the game looks like absolute garbage
And there is my reasoning. If you own an Xbox One and really want this game, I highly recommend that you avoid it at all costs. And this is a damn shame too, I want to play and love this game, but this port is a cheap exploitation and it does not deserve our money.

So with that, what do you all think? What are your thoughts on this horrendous port?

  15. I hate the VGAs because...you know let me allow Angry Joe to speak for me

While the show this year was not perfect by any means, I do think it was a lot better than any of the shows in the past. From what I remember, there were no immature jokes or over-the-top gaming stuff within it, it felt far more like a celebration of gaming which is what it should be. I was pleasantly surprised by it this year.

The 'Most Trending Gamer' category was incredibly stupid though, but I am glad at least Greg Miller won it.

  16. This is the kind of confidence that I want to see. With the NX already nearly upon us and the terrible third party support, my confidence in the Wii U is at a low. Mario Maker is wonderful, but then we got Amiibo Festival, which his just terrible. I want to see more good games on the Wii U, it is a wonderful system. I would rather not see it fade away just after 4 years. That would be a new low for Nintendo.
