  1. Mine's always been the original amazing trade-only ghostie, Gengar!

Dat tongue. I was always fascinated by him in the original games. I could never get him, mainly because I had no friends to trade with, which made me even more interested in him. Nowadays there's plenty of ways to get him via emulation in the old games and I love it. <3 He is a monstrous special attacker. The design is simple but it has always been appealing to me as a result.

Favorite game is an easy choice: Pokemon Crystal, with Ruby closely in second place.

It is a bit funny and ironic, considering how 80s and 90s action movies went: Put on strong male characters and heroes, and supporting cast, and females are usually the prize for him ending up winning.

Exactly. It is like how when people say certain things in FiM were done solely for toys (which to an extent is true) when Transformers is literally a property about alien robots that turn into human vehicles for no reason and look how much love that gets.

According to the internet, almost everything is considered "woke" now. Needless to say I despise that term already.

  3. I've uploaded a few teensy snippets of the second episode as I quite enjoyed it, it had moments I really liked.

Didn't think I would like this one, but it caught me off guard. XD I love how Flutters just casually flies upwards and Rainbow Dash's eyes follows her and then darts back. This is the right kind of silly stuff to me.

And the other part I mentioned:

Again, this is what I want to see more of with this show. Her expression is super cute and I love how she says that line. It isn't crazy over the top but still goes along with the distinct vibe that this show has. If they can keep the rest of the show in line with episode 2, then I can definitely dig it. A well done, really silly show with our lovable pony characters, to me, is a great idea. Especially considering how shitty the world has been as of late.

  4. Just watched both episodes and I have to echo how weird it is to have two parts to such short episodes but I guess it works? FIRSTLY, I have to point this out immediately: Some of the animation errors were baffling. In Probz, Twilight's wings disappear twice. In Best of the Worst, Rainbow's tail disappears at least once and her wings also vanish at one point. That was simply very off to see.

That could be attributed to the fact that the pace, especially for episode 1, is indeed like it is crack induced. I do feel that episode 1 falters in many ways. It is simply too fast, gives no time for any kind of real setup and the ending was...weird. It wasn't the worst thing ever but I didn't feel much of anything while watching it. I would probably rate it a 3/10.

Episode 2 definitely did better. It actually had some kind of pacing and setup which was an immediate improvement. They actually slowed it down a tiny bit and it is amazing how well that works compared to the first one. The plot is strange but kinda cute in a sense that Rainbow just has to win at literally everything but then that goes into what I see as a softcore self acceptance message, which I am always down for even if it was very simplified here. This episode also got a few laughs from me which the first episode really didn't do (Even if it had good humor, episode 1 was so fast that you can't appreciate it regardless). Fluttershy saying "Noice" while casually flying upwards was a treasure. :P I also adore how Rainbow Dash says "My buddies! What's up?" near the beginning. <3 Dishwater Slog, despite an incredibly stupid name, was actually done kinda well all things considered. He's kinda generic but he's voiced well and had a somewhat unique gimmick. I will say that Rainbow's new babby fan was strange but whatever. I'd rate episode 2 at least a 7/10.

So that's how it seems to be right now. Episode 1 is sadly a pretty bad first impression with its psychotic pace of madness, but then episode 2 shows that they can slow it down a bit and do more with the characters. Clearly, this show is what it is setting out to be. A very light hearted, not serious at all cartoon and I welcome that as long as they can keep it more like Best of the Worst. Personally I am curious on what they do next. The animation overall is super cute and I dig it.

Thank you for the encouragement. :coco: I love people who are just themselves, I welcome everyone around me and in my life. It's nice to know people who feel the same or similar and want to just live peacefully together. But I'm still afraid of what will happen when I "go all out" with who I am and the things I like etc. I'm extremely sensitive, where do people actually get the strength from?

And yes, it would be very boring otherwise. :squee:

I very much respect this. Self acceptance is a big thing to me, something I try to encourage within others. Problem is I can hardly do that for myself. I can try to encourage others, yet I can't encourage myself. Often feels like I am stuck in a daily loop of little confidence, motivation, that sort of thing. That's how I feel right now. Woke up a bit ago and I simply have zero motivation for anything currently. I'm existing and that's all.

  6. Resident Evil 5 comes to mind. It obviously has issues and an embarrassing couple of levels filled to the brim with African stereotypes, but overall I think it is a solid game. It still has good gunplay and having beaten it like...12 times, I never thought Sheva was terrible as an A.I. partner. She usually got the job done. Plus the game has tons of weapons and excellent Mercenaries Mode content. RE5 simply had the unfortunate fate of being the follow up to the masterpiece that is RE4.

Grand Theft Auto IV is another one. It is all opinion of course, but I think IV is hated too much these days. People often cite its more realistic tone and physics in a negative context but I personally love it. The world just seems better to me, same with the characters. It actually has at least some characters that we can sympathize with. GTA V on the flipside is overrated to me because its story and characters are horrible. Now GTA V is simply a giant microtransaction factory with GTA Online. GTA IV had actual single player DLC that was really good.

  7. A definite one I can add to my list:

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. One of the most boring, lifeless, overhyped games I've ever experienced. I enjoyed nothing about it. Granted I only put in about 10-15 hours before selling it but I hated every second of that time. What was originally a series with a memorable world filled with fun and unique dungeons, bosses, music and characters was dissolved into a massive "open world" that is as shallow as a tiny puddle. I seriously saw no point to this open world. Sure, you could encounter the occasional skirmish or mini dungeon, but that is in between long sections of nothingness where you run for ages and ages. Even with the horse it felt tedious. Speaking of, the climbing mechanics are slow and boring. Not to mention early on you essentially have no stamina, making everything even more tedious until you complete a boatload of those stupid mini dungeons that aren't memorable in the slightest. The story is also the least memorable of any Zelda game I've played post Link to the Past. Here you're just kinda thrown into the world because Zelda has to happen somehow I guess, Now you must beef yourself up to fight the dumbest version of Ganon by far. He's just a big floating Ganon cloud with a face that just hangs around the castle, not doing much, sorta just waiting for you to kill him. The rest of this supposed "great open world" doesn't seem to mind much about Ganon taking over. People still just casually talk to you and ask for favors to be done. Sure, one could say Ocarina of Time (my favorite in the series by the way) does the same sorta thing, but the huge difference is that when Ganondorf takes over, the entire world is affected and you see that plain as day. Even before he takes over, Ganondorf is actively doing terrible things to the world. BOTW? Eh, everything's mostly fine. The inclusion of some voice acting really didn't add anything to this game, in my experience.

I also was not fond of the combat and especially the unbelievably stupid weapon system. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to have weapons break after like 10 hits? It makes all of the weapons feel pointless in the end since you will be constantly switching them around as they break again and again. Also for a series known for such great and memorable music, I hardly heard any in my playtime. The overworld has no music...at all, until you get into combat and the combat music suuuuuuuuuuucks. Just like the combat itself. Nothing else stood out.

I know Ocarina of Time is considered overrated by many, that's fine. Even though Ocarina is my favorite of the series, I would take literally any other mainline Zelda game over BOTW. I absolutely do not see what everyone else see's in this game. Many regard it as not only the best Zelda game, but the best open world game too. Personally, I don't think it is the best at anything, not even close. It is an amalgamation of a ton of individual ideas that so many other games have done waaaaaay better years before this game came out.

The Spongebob Movie game is good

I second this. Me and a friend played through it together back in the day and it was quite enjoyable.  I wouldn't mind seeing it get the remaster treatment since Battle for Bikini Bottom remastered is out soon.

I would like to nominate King Kong for the Xbox 360, based on the 2005 remake. While that game definitely has aged and it is janky in different regards, I cannot deny that the devs did some pretty cool stuff with it, like using bugs as bait or the use of fire to get across certain areas. It was a pretty well done attempt at pulling you into the game's world. The King Kong sections were pretty dope too. The V-Rex battles were pretty intense and hearing Kong roar was awesome. Not to mention it was a great visual showcase for the console as a launch title which is very surprising for a movie tie in. I remember seeing demos of the game in stores and being blown away by the graphics and sound.

  9. Went in expecting something horrid and honestly, it really doesn't look half bad for what it is. It looks far better than the original images that were with the announcement of it. It obviously is cute, looks like it will have a lot of energy which could be fun and perhaps it would be neat to see some beloved characters be in a more silly tone. Dunno, I don't hate it. Obviously a trailer only says so much so it is a case of definitely having to see it in action. At the very least, I'm not dreading it.

Also, I doubt most people can deny that this is cute:

  10. Dorian from Dragon Age Inquisition has always been a favorite of mine. He is a character that doesn't seem gay at all on the surface, the only obvious hint is that you can pursue romance options with him as a male character. I think he is one of the best characters in the game itself and I really like how him being gay actually ties into his backstory and the relationship with his family, which that relationship he has with them isn't great. He is also one of the few characters that can really make that kind of mustache work well. :P

    Angel Dust, obvs.

And at the moment that's all I can think of. Being tired doesn't do well for the thinking.

  11. Definitely one of the most fascinating mammals around. I often see them in my town at night fluttering about. They are always so silent and fluttery around the lights. I do think they are quite cute, but for some reason I am scared that one of them might smack into me accidentally while I'm walking, even though they have the skills to not do that. :P Some of them have flown very close to me but they are always like whoosh and maneuver like a jet.

  12. I've been an introvert my entire life. The only way I was able to really make any friends is if someone talked to me first. In terms of offline interaction, I have a sort of innate anxiety when it comes to any kind of social interaction with someone I don't know. As such I tend to avoid most interaction like that. That's how I've always been. I vividly remember my first day of kindergarten. I pretty much isolated myself and spoke to no one. Others had to talk to me first and even then I was awkward and stilted. That really hasn't changed much all these years later.
