  1. If you are a boy would you want a normal girlfriend or a Pegasister girlfriend

If you are a girl would you want a normal boyfriend or a brony boyfriend?

I definitely would like that, but it's just an optional thing. If she REALLY cares about me, she would overlook that detail. I can always convert, but I shouldn't be too picky.

  2. Oh, god... I have no idea. Twilight Sparkle is basically my gender opposite, and I CANNOT live with myself, let alone live with my gender opposite. We would fight about everything because she's my gender opposite. Rarity maybe, but I don't know how long I can live with her before she turns me into a Spike-minion equivalent. Fluttershy has a nice cottage, and plenty of animals, so maybe Fluttershy. Rainbow Dash would be somewhat a pain due to the fact that I'm not athletic. I'm gonna jump all the way to Octavia because Pinkie is TOO random, and Applejack is much like Rainbow Dash. Octavia and I would probably live together in harmony, mostly because both of us play acoustic classical instruments. So, Octavia maybe, or Fluttershy.

  3. MLP is NOT my favorite show, despite all the appreciation I have for it, (Art, mostly). My favorite show at the moment would probably be Big Bang Theory mostly because it's just so dang entertaining. It's not that I like MLP any less than any other show I watch, but if I were to choose, I would pick Big Bang theory. MLP is still an awesome show, but It's not my favorite. However, I do have high hopes for Season 4.

  4.

'Would You Rather ...?' ThreadHello everypony, the point of this thread to answer my question with one out of two options, and to give an explanation as to why you chose that option.**I will post a new question everyday.**Question #6:Would you rather be a thief, or a beggar?

**New question will be posted on July 12th/13th.**

I would rather be a beggar because I don't want to live on what I take, but I want to live on what is given and build on it. I rather would have a $10 house with a million dollar dream than being a fugitive with no dream.

  5. I was sitting around wondering who preteen girls could look up to these days. Please help me figure out.

    Maybe Britanny Spe-oh.

    Maybe Hannah Mont-Damnit

Maybe Amanda Byn-you've got to be kidding me.

    I give up.

    Please help me out here.

Hmmmm, well, it can't be us. To tell you the truth, the kids should look up to the responsible, well, at least the more responsible figures, like Obama or someone.

  6. Okay so I watched EGs and I was disappointed With sunset shimmer. she and Flash were the worst part of the film. NMN Discord Chrysalis and Sombra were all better than her. Now Lets see why:

    1) Her Plan Was Stupid: Seriously. Wanting to take over equestria With a bunch of teenagers when Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Shining Armor and Freaking Discord where around. Even if she turns them all into demons Discord can still kick all of their asses.

    2) Her Defeat Scene was Nothing new: Now all of the four Villains before her had different styles of defeats, Even If NMN and Discord were beaten by the same source But One was redeemed and the other was turned into stone. But Sunset on the other hand had a complete copy of NMNs Defeat Just with Humans.

    3) She Does not bring anything into the group: NMN Had the Background Story. Discord had the Powers. Chrysalis Had Minions. Sombra Had Most Evil Mind. But she Had....

    4) Her redeemtion was stupid: I was expection her to be Faking those tears and then jump into the portal Saying she will have her revenge. But noooo, She was really crying and she just wanted friends...Quite Pathetic compared to the other villains.

Thats all what I got. Now Before you say she had more lines than Sombra then that Would mean that the Old Hag In snow white was a better villain than Sauron.

I say that she IS the worst villain because of the way she used her power, not the element power, but her social intimidation. She uses fear to get what she wants, namely, the crown, both the powerless crown and the Sixth Element. Every single year, it seems that she always wins and that is true. She uses her resources, namely Snips and Snails, to her full advantage and sabotage her competition. This is worse than Discord because Discord caused disharmony by physical changes to the environment and mental changes to the ponies. Sunset causes disharmony simply by taking advantage of people and throwing them down. This is just worse than Discord because he's a troll. Sunset is a beoch. (Sorry, laying off swearing) Beoches will be beoches and get what they want. Discord doesn't simply change everything. He waits and strikes to make everything effective. Sunset just bashes. She seems more like a blunt instrument than a precision tool. Discord plans his attacks accordingly. Take the Mane 6. He didn't make them their alternate selves immediately. He waited for them to make the wrong moves and then attacked. I could be terribly wrong, but Sunset is the worst in my opinion.

  7. This is good to know! I'm glad to hear that Equestria Girls isn't absolutely horrible, like some of us predicted. As for the content of your review, it was a bit short, but concise, and managed to tell others what they need to decide whether or not to watch the movie without giving too many spoilers. Thank you for writing this.

Yeah, I didn't have high expectations at first, but it is full of references. There was not a minute where I wasn't engaged.

Good to hear, a bit short... but I will probably watch it after reading this.

That is my opinion, and of course I can understand that certain people will still be mad at Hasbro, or will hate on this movie just because they can... I don´t know, I don´t care.

As we say over here: "Das ist nicht mein Bier" = "That ain´t my beer" = ain´t something of my business xD.

That movie surely won´t ruin the show, the fandom or something, if it does for you that´s sad... and, again, your personal thing.

Well, any change on any fandom will spark a discussion and people will hate. The movie has not ruined the fandom. The movie has ADDED to the fandom. Hey, we all signed up for this. That means we are all a part of the changes.

I was the last person in my city to get a ticket to see this movie.

Considering how many people are butthurt beverly about the movie, I'm glad that the movie has proved you haters wrong.

I went in with low expectations, considering all the negative feelings surrounding it.

First of all, the movie was funny as hell, don't let that fool you.  It was extremely funny, and charming to see just what they did with all the background characters of the normal show.  Almost every single pony was in the movie.  Including Granny Smith.  Kudos to that.

First thing I noticed was that, yes, Twilight was rather clumsy on her feet throughout the movie.  That's to be expected.  All you people who are crying because it's a typical storyline...well it isn't, really.  Yes, it's predictable that it goes to Point A to point B in a rather typical fashion, but hell, the journey was a wild one.  Just like the original show, there are mini plot-twists, and side stories that just make it such a colorful ride.

There were parts of that movie I never would have imagined.  Just like we saw in Season 2, they did a GREAT JOB at portraying the evil villain.  Kudos to that.

    1.  The animation sucks!!

Well, no it really doesn't.  It's the same people who made the original show, stop nit-picking.  It's just a different style.

    2.  The characters are boring!

Not really, I think that the way they portrayed each character in a humanized roll was simply brilliant.  They managed to keep things canon while maintaining good humor and realism.

    3.  TRANSFORMERS REFERENCES!!!

      Always a good thing.

All in all, the most annoying part of the movie, was that the people in the theatre wouldn't stop geeking out over every little thing.  I found myself shushing both of my neighbors at one point, because they were talking out loud about how they thought the movie was so good.

If you haven't seen it, quit smashing the movie because you hated the goddamn trailers.  I'm so sick of your hypocrisy, brony fandom.  The amount of content the trailers ACTUALLY show is like, such a small fractal of what the movie is actually about.

Get off your ass and go see it.  I'm glad I did.

When I first saw the trailer, I was worried, but since I knew that it was made by the same guys, I bought my ticket right away. We are all in this together to end and to the new beginnings. This is one of those new beginnings. We signed up for this. Chances are, it will be good. In fact, it was. At this point, I wouldn't mind if they made a whole different TV show.

Could of swore that this movie was going to be the end of FiM as we know it....Could of swore it was worthy of sending death threats to DHX........Could of swore....that the fandom overreacted....Oh wait, it did.

Sounds about right really. The review that is. I knew that it wasn't going to be bad. Really, it sounds good. If I could see it, I would. I will have to wait for that though.

    Not much else to say.

Lol, it's kind of ironic, really. A few months ago, I was ranting about all this saying that "THESE ARE MY LITTLE PONIES" and all that. Now, I'm saying "THIS. IS. AWESOME."

  8. All I can say about this is that I do not think that she SHOULD be an alicorn, but if the producers wish it to be so, so be it. Sure, people will get mad and all, but a change is good. In any fandom, there are always people who think it is unacceptable for change. Maybe it's us that are stubborn. Wouldn't it be BORING as BUCK if everything STAYED THE SAME? Just saying.

  9. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! IIIIIIIIIIIIIII....do not know how to react to this, actually... This is one of those things that I can't really put my finger on whether I like it or not. My first reaction to the video is "What...the fuck...Hasbro actually is making a motherfucking MOVIE? With PONIES?!?! And HUMANS????" *Mind blank for the next 90 seconds* *Video ends* *Runs outside yelling and/or swearing* Then here I am. So, I'm trying to RATIONALLY think about this. Should I be looking forward to this? I like ponies and all, but it's EQUESTRIA GIRLS. Well, then again, I shouldn't pass judgement on something I never saw before. Should I hate Hasbro for being a couple of bitches for not telling us? Or they HAVE told us and I am just being a bitch about this. They KINDA told us, but we took it as "They're making a TV show". I guess this is kind of "Intertwined" into MLP, so it's a part of MLP that is not there yet. Fuck it. I'll watch it. It may not be so bad, which ironically, is what I said right before I watched MLP. I guess this KIND OF makes up for the short season, and explains what Hasbro spent their fucking time doing all this time. It was a good surprise, I guess. It also kind of freaked me out. Nonetheless, I'll go see it.

  10. Hey everypony! A few weeks ago, I drew Soarin' in a humanized-ish form, but I haven't had the chance to post him in a while, but here he is! I hope you guys will enjoy!

I'm a plushie maker and lately I've been pretty much into MLP fan plushies. ^^ I post them on my dA page, but since I'm not very popular there, I don't get much feedback on my creations. That's why I came here! img-1387989-2-biggrin.png

What do you guys think about her? Do you think I caught Granny's features properly?

Do you mind that she's not 100% show accurate and reflects my personal art style? I'm craving for your opinions!

Holy....buck......it's so pretty....and I can't have it.....like most of the stuff in my life, lol. I rally like this. This style is neat and i like how her features stand out a bit.

  13. I will choose NOT to put these in order...mostly because it's so bucking hard to say who is better.

  14. It's entirely possible in my opinion, that atleast 1 of the mane 6 will gain a partner at some point during the following seasons. Who it will be, Im not quite sure, but relationships are universal, and just so long as they don't  ruin it by making it some pathetic Gen 2 or 3 love story, then Im completely fine with it...

I do agree that AT LEAST one of them will....especially Applejack Twilight because she's of royalty. I mean, wouldn't YOU like to date royalty?

    I don´t know, but wouldn´t that completely break spike´s heart? :´c

But, yea, it has been at least hinced before, and maybe will find it´s place in season 4, I wouldn´t lay my hoof in the fire for it, though...

YES! BREAK HIS PATHETIC HEART! I mean seriously...if the show is about love lessons, there should at least be a message that you will get rejected one time or the other, or about "puppy" love. I continue to hate that term... And can make friend-zoned guys (like me) feel better.

I agree with you. I mean it's a nice idea that's been mentioned before and all but....Would it put too much stress on the Mane 6 remaining whole? I mean it might make for a good episode if Rarity was trying to juggle time between her friends and her boyfriend, but I doubt it would go very much farther...It might be one of those, "Yes it's around but not mentioned." type of things if Rarity does get involved in a serious relationship.

I suppose that if the show will be teaching love lessons, I suppose there will be an episode where the lesson is where one must decide between a relationship and one's friends...so I guess that can be incorporated  as well as time for friends and time for relationships.

Don't worry, it'll most likely happen in Equestria Girls. I mean they are going to High School and all.

And Thunderlane becoming her boyfriend? A bit too sudden, don't ya think?

Lol, Equestria Girls will SUCK like a vacuum cleaner. I do think that Thunderlane+Rarity=doom. I mean, seriously...she'll bitch about his haircut first. Then his looks. Then his personality.

I would like her to have a date in an episode, BUT NEVER A BOYFRIEND!!!! JUST NO! FORGET IT! NOT GONNA HAPPEN! img-1407332-1-angry.png

now, just because Thunderlane caught her in Wonderbolts Academy doesn't mean that she should date him, my perfect stallion for Rarity would be Beat Spark Fancy Pants, he just need to get rid of certain b*tch img-1407332-2-dry.png

I do think that Rarity is way to bitchy to be in a relationship...but she can keep an open mind. Fler de Lis doesn't really do much, does she?

There's plenty of good morals to be found in relationships and freindship is a part of relationship, plus Rarity is romantically focused, so why not?  Be really interesting if at some point, Rarity announced that she was pregnant.

Rarity? Preggers? That'll be the day...although it will probably get pulled for "Encouraging Teen Pregnancy" and all that. I do think it'll be interesting to see awkward conversations.

Unless it's Spike, I don't think that Rarity should get a boyfriend. Unless it's somepony that has an arrogant, horrid personality, so that Rarity realises that  looks aren't everything. Then maybe she could realise how much she actually likes Spike, and then go out with him instead. I think that could make a good episode smile.png

SPIKE DOESN'T DESERVE HER. I DO . I don't think that Spike should date Rarity. There should be an episode about the Friend Zone and all that to make guys (Like me) feel ...accounted for.

Since the series has become more made for the fandom I think season 4 would be more adult too. So I think it could be perfectly possible that Rarity will get a boyfriend. Would be awesome just because that means it's turning more and more adult don't you think?

I do think that the show has more and more adult references. The show is turning into...a commercial for adulthood, actually. I find it quite amusing, actually.

  15. Ok I just want to point this out...Doctor Whooves and Derpy Whooves....WHAT..I mean are they related or are they married? Aren't they a couple in the fanfics....

    img-1386191-1-derpy_and_doctor_whooves_b

Well, no they are not married, well at least the canon timeline doesn't say anything about that. Both of them are just cameo characters, so we see them at random times. It's kind of hard to know something when you can't really observe it., ya know.

  16. I know, right? Hey, just be glad you can get one, I'm still back here trying to convert what few friends will give the show a chance (currently I have one person I'm trying for, one whom my parents have a high opinion of).

those are still around? Internet time! I gotta get myself one...Good luck on your convert! I'll hunt down Futtershy...ya know, "hunt" :)

  17. My mom was weirded out at first when I started getting into it, but she adjusted pretty quickly. She likes seeing how giddy ah get when she gets me new merch. She works at Walmart doing stock, so she keeps an eye out for me. (mostly in the section she works in, which is all the cosmetics and toiletries like shampoo) When I found out the band-aids were there that I'd been looking for for months, I jumped all through the store!

Anyway, she's pretty chill with it now. She's just glad to see ah have something I really enjoy that helps keep me happy. Ah've had a lot of problems in the past, and ah'm on medication now but it can only help so much.. My sister recognizes most of the characters, even though she isn't really into it. But she respects my love for it, and she's always helping my mom out when getting me merch. My sister remembers which characters are my favourites, and which ones I don't like.

My brother doesn't seem to be bothered by it at all. My boyfriend thinks I'm silly, but then he realizes that he collects just as much, if not more, Power Rangers and horror stuff as I do ponies. He's gotten to respect it, and supports me with all my pony items that I make. Same goes for my mom and sister. My sister even drew me a huge anthro Applejack!

I don't have too many friends, but most of the ones I have were bronies before me. In fact, it's because of ponies that I've gained a lot of friends, including my best friend!

My mom and sister still mention how pink the bookshelf in the living room looks though... It's the only place I can put my collection without worrying about any of our cats getting to them. Plus I sleep on the couch downstairs, since I opted out of my bedroom for a couple of different reasons. Main thing now is that my dad lives up there (my parents are kinda separated right now) and so ah have to have someplace to put 'em all.

My mom was also weirded out when she found out I ENJOYED watching MLP, but she's cool with it. You got it lucky because there are people supporting you. Plus, ya gotta mention the stereotypes.

My parents both found out due to a Facebook comment I'd made (they read everything I post). After that, they didn't accept it. My mom was actually a bit better about it than my dad, but he was so adamant about me not being a Brony, that I just stopped saying anything about it around them. To be fair though, I did ask for a Fluttershy plush, which I guess pushed him overboard, to the point where he told me to never associate myself with Bronies again.

As for my friends, 90% of them think I'm weird for it and refuse to give it a chance. Then there's the 7% that are nuetral to it and the 3% that are actually Bronies (because of me). I can't stand the fact that I have to keep quiet about it, especially considering they never shut up about their obsession over Dr. Who. Bring up MLP, though, and you get shunned.

I do find it unfair to shun a fandom. Sure, not everyone may be accepting of it, but no need to shun it. I do think that parents should keep off of facebook because of privacy. I also want a Fluttershy plushie so I can non-sexually sleep with her.

Ahah my whole family thought I was extremely childish, even though everything else I do already seems childish. D:   And they won't let me buy an MLP toy. Lololl. My boyfriend doesn't really wanna watch the show with me. xD  Wish he was a brony too. But I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get him to watch eventually. ;D   Which is weird, 'cause he got a brony shirt and all. And his family jokes about him being a brony, WHEN HE'S REALLY NOT! Whutisthis.

Bro, you got no idea. It seemed like the ultimate betrayal for me, with my mom AND my dad judging the fandom. Now they're cool with it. Seems like your boyfriend has a...contradictory public appearance. I think your boyfriend is more of "Afraid" than "Not a Brony" at this point.

When I'd mentioned MLP around them, and my gigantic love for it, I think they thought I was kidding. But of course, at the point where they realized I was serious, they didn't care much. In front of me at least.... Still, they didn't pull any "ERMAGERD YA GAY" crap on me, so I don't think they are gonna deprive me of my deceptively girly interests.

As for friends, when I spoke to them, most of them just kinda laughed and said "No, I'm not gonna watch my little pony, that's for kids." Still, they haven't turned their backs and shunned me for it, which is good.

Yeah....my sister thought I was kidding when I said "I like MLP" but she's cool. In fact, she watches it now because of me. She didn't pull any of that crap because she's my sister. She didn't think it was girly or all that because she recognizes that there is a following cult.

My parents dont know i am a brony but if they ever find out i am screwed i have three friends who are bronies and we get a lot of crap from our friends who dont agree with it

DUDE. GET. THE. WORD. OUT. No need to be hiding. It's who you are. People shouldn't tell you what YOU should be. Who the hell cares if you watch MLP? Sure, you'll get crap for it, but you'll get crap for everything in life. All my friends at one point disowned me....for 30 seconds and got over it. What's the worst thing that can happen? Your friends like you for who you are. If the leave, so be it. That just means they can't appreciate you enough.

Most of my friends don't know except for my best friend. He's okay with it but thinks the fandom stems from people wanting to be part of a fandom and not the actual show img-1375332-1-dry.png . I'm 100% positive my mom doesn't know but my Dad is a different story. A few days after i started watching MLP he randomly started singing out the first part of the theme song. He also said EEEYUP a few times just like big mac does so i really don't know if he knows or not.If he does though it means i have 1 parent who doesnt care about me being a bronyimg-1375332-2-laugh.png .

Get the buckin' word out. Just tell your mom. Your dad is going to say it eventually. My dad is....also kind of a brony, but more of curious. See this thread for the rest because I got no time to type it again:

http://mlpforums.com/topic/40238-is-my-dad-becoming-a-brony/ My dad has not really shown any change, but does appreciate the show.

My mom is the only one who knows, I think. She doesn't care though, if anything she thinks its funny img-1375873-1-tongue.png . My parents know I love animated stuff, and a while ago my mom told me she thinks its nice that I like shows like MLP. My dad might know, but hasn't said anything.

My family is really close, so they're supportive of my interests. My friends don't know, but I won't force it into a conversation. If it comes up I'll deal with it then.

Funny? That's the first time I know that. Tell your friends. They will lose all respect for you...for the next few moments, and then they all love you again.

Nobody in my house really updates there knowledge of the real world. My brother's an idiot and my mom is just plain ignorant. So it's like they even know what a brony is.

But I did however explain to my brother what I was watching on T.V one day. He didn't seem to make a big deal out of it, which is a surprise because he tries to be all macho and tough all the time. He thinks he's my male role model when clearly he doesn't know a thing about me or my interests. In fact he's pretty much a loser tongue.png

Only my friends get on my case for it. But I let it pass, just because there not the most serious people on earth, and don't take anything to extremes.  The worst would have to be when I was walking down the hall and they all sang in unison the MLP theme song. But over the years I have learned to laugh at my self, instead of taking things to heart all of the time. So I sang along with em :3

Mom? Ignorant? Hello, bro. Sure, we are not the most serious group of people in the world, but we take stuff seriously, no?
