Iron Wing

While Blazing was busy with talking to other ponies, Iron Wing heared one of the ponies ask for their medical conditions. She turned around and looked at the pony. "Well, i don´t have a serious medical condition, but since i have a high metabolism rate, so has Blazing. If we get poisoned it would effect us faster than other ponies. Also Blazing has a very strange medical condition... or i believe it´s a medical condition. Caffeine or other energy giving substance will make her tired, and every tiresome action like... um... eating too much or something like that won´t make her worn out, instead they are making her hyper..." she explained. She knew Blazing for a long time now and that was one of the strangest and funniest things she knew about her friend.

By the way, if you all are wondering why i am describing the armor, while on the picture i use on every post no armor like that can be seen, just have a look at this picture:

Thats how Iron Wing looks like. I would have used this picture for the little name-pictures i am using at every post, but i think it was difficult to scale. because of the background i thought it would better to use the normal vector graphic i have from that character. Hope that there is no more confusion about the armor.

"Are uh... you guys here for... whatever it is Celestia wants?"

Iron Wing looked at the pegasus who had asked this question. A strongly build and nice looking stallion with friendly eyes and some sort of noble accent. Or was it noble? Iron wasn´t sure about that, but it she thought that it was somehow fitting. "Yes, i was ordered to abort my duties on my watchtower and to come here. I am a bit surprised what her majesty wants from a Grayhoove knight..." she answered. Her family and clan were traditional guardians and warriors also noble knights that always had fulfilled military duty. Most found on the frontlines or to defeat certain beasts within the lands, the Grayhoove Clan was known amongst the military, but not everyone appreciated the capacity of their potential, also because they were a bit more aggressive than other ponies.

"Every one of them want to take me down, even the blue one over there... I wonder how many of them had lost something to dragons" Colt whispered back to her.

Iron Wing couldn´t understand a word from the dragon but she could see that he was whispering. Under normal circumstances dragons wouldn´t just walk around like it was nothing special, and Iron Wing would fight them with everything she had got. But it seemed that this dragon was summoned by the princesses for the meeting, so the knightly mare wouldn´t start a fight right here. She was armored from the hoof up to the head, also her wings had armor parts on it. Most of the ponies that were around didn´t have such an armor, not even the guards, and that worried her a bit. If these ponies were gathered for a quest or an adventure, she hoped that at least a couple of them were able to defend themselves.

"Hey there, My name is Chivalry Knight. However most ponies just call me Chivalry. It's nice to meet you two, whats your names?" Chivalry seemed to be trying to meet and befriend everyone.

Again a pony introduced itself, this time a strong looking unicorn and he had directed his attention towards Iron and Blaze. This time the pony would her her full name and she hoped that others would listen aswell. "My name is Iron Wing Celes Grayhoove, Commander of the southern watchtower near Ponyville and knight of the Grayhoove clan." she said towards Chivalry. "I guess that the princess has chosen us because every pony has some sort of specialty. It will be interesting to find out what the talent of the others are..." she added and continued walking. She was alway a bit carefull about new ponies or creatures she met, and she would continue that behaviour until she knew what was going on.

I'm Blaze Finder, but Blaze is fine. I guess I'll be working with you and these other ponies right?

Blazing turned around, surprised and funky as ever. "Yay, another Blaze!" she said joyful and jumped little circles. "I am Blazing Storm van Hoofenheim, nice to meet´ya! Just call me Blaze, Storm or... or... whatever you want!" she continued and fluttered excited with her wings. "If i had known that there was a male me, a cool tattoo mare unicorn and a beautiful pegasus accompanied with a cool dragon, i would have brought my camera!" she giggled and continued to jump circles around Blaze Finder and Iron Wing. Or course she could have acted normaly but right know this was too excited. "I can sense that this will be a great novel! I wanna know more!"

"Hey there, My name is Chivalry Knight. However most ponies just call me Chivalry. It's nice to meet you two, whats your names?" Chivalry seemed to be trying to meet and befriend everyone.

Blaze immediatly raced towards Chivalry and shook his hoove. "Hai! I´m Blazing Storm, and this grumpy blue mare is Iron Wing. Nice to meet ya!" she said, then going a bit closer to him. "She isn´t always like that..." she whispered to him and grinned. It was true, she knew the blue pegasus since their fillyhood and normaly Iron would be more friendly. But it seemed like she was again too proud for some friendly words. "So, what´s in your letter? Do you have already a task or something, or do you just know as much as we know?" she continued then. Informations were very important and as a novel writer who had written -Hoove Horror- , -The cloud tales- and romantic stories like -My honey pony- , she knew that it would be very significant to know as much as possible. Everypony that liked to talk was very welcome, so she looked around if the other ponies wanted to say something too.

"More of you? How many did Celestia hire?" She scratched her head and sighed. "Well... welcome to Canterlot. Might I guide you inside with the others...?"

Iron Wing and Blazing storm looked at each other and followed this unknown mare. She hadn´t introduced herself, but she seemed to know what was going on. So Iron and Blaze followed this mare and looked at the other two visitors. A beautiful pegasus mare and a dragon were walking next to them. Iron feeled a bit unsure about the dragon , and she would love to unfold her wing blades to defeat that monster. But she was a guardian and a knight, so she would never attack a creature without being attacked from it. Blaze was very amused that a dragon was with them and she had a colourful mind about what could happen.

"Hey there, my name is Chivalry Knight, but people just call me Chivalry for short. Whats your name?" Chivalry didn't seem at all scared or judgmental of the dragons presence.

Chilvalry introduced himself and so did Iron Wing. "My name is Commander Iron Wing Celes Grayhoove..." she answered to his question and bow a bit as a sign for respect. "And i am Blazing Storm van Hoofenheim." the lively red pegasus stated, now with a more serious canterlot-like voice. This would be interesting and they followed further.

Iron Wing was doing a patrol around Ponyville flying high in the sky and looking down if anything strange appeared. But it was a day just as usuall as any other day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and the weather ponies made an excelent job. Nothing to complain about, so she went down for landing at her watchtower. Over 2 years she was stationed there already, in order to prevent attacks from harmful creatures against ponies, to save the city from thieves and criminals and to help the inhabitants. It wasn´t always easy since she left the frontlines of the country, but she managed very well until now. She landed at the tower landing bay and prepared a report for the main military institution in Canterlot. She was proud to have the rank of a commander, but her current duties weren´t meant for her equipment. Already at a young age she had trained much at construction sites to gain enough strength to fullfill her dream, to become a knight, educated in Canterlot. Her clan had many requirements and it was her duty to gain honor for her family and clan. So she stepped in the hoofsteps of her father and tried to become a guardian as a step for becoming a knight.

But that was now in the past, she was now a knight and a guardian commander and the only thing that was left that reminded her from her former duties was her heavy assault armor, forced out of wolframite, a very dense metal. Normal ponies wouldn´t be able to lift this, but she was. Of course it had much disadvantages like speed or movement. She went down after writing her report noticed that a pony knocked at the door. It was a Canterlot mailpony and he had a letter for Iron Wing. She opened the letter and her eyes went wide open. What was that? A letter from her majesty? She thought surprised. After reading it, she snorted and went up to her armory. She equiped herself with everything needed for a task like that. She put on her heavy armor and put different items into her saddlebag and closed the watchtower. With using her well trained wings she started and lifted herself with this giant weight of the armor into the air. The next stop was Canterlot Castle.

Blazing was busy with her newest novel, but again she was stuck in a writers block. Why the buck did this happen all the time? First the words were nearly flowing down the feather filled with ink, and now her brain didn´t want to give her even one idea. It should be a novel about love, adventure and and dangers. Characters that should find to each other and care about what they had instead of arguing all the time. But even with this possible outcomes she had thought about, she didn´t know where to start and where to end things. She said down on her couch and enjoyed the fluffy cloud the couch was made of. She was a teacher and a writer but in her freetime she loved to make wild parties, race around and listen to fast music. And now she had to turn down, which meant she showed a bit silliness, turning on the music box which played a techno like beat with electronic sounds. She jumped up and down, from left to the right to get into the rythm, enjoying the bass of the boxes and to let go of every thought. But before the music track came to the finish, the sompony knocked on the door. She stopped the music and opened the door to find a Canterlot mailpony there, having a letter for her ready. "Oh, whats this?" she asked him, but he couldn´t answer what it was about. The letter was sealed with the royal symbol. "Oh... i hope my party last week didn´t had any bad consequences..." she shuddered a bit. She opened the letter to find an invitation for an important meeting. She started to giggle, to chuckle and then to laugh. Finally something important from Canterlot!

She raced through her house to pack her saddleback with everything that could be important, locked her house and lifted herself into the air, flying with increasing speed towards Canterlot. This would be totally awesome, she would meet new ponies, have fun and perhaps it would be a bit adventurous. She was fast, flying already with high velocity through the air and looking like a meteor on the sky, her mane and coat had the best colour for something like that. But she didn´t know if this was some surprise or if that was meant serious, so she prepared herself mentaly that this meeting could be something important that could put her into danger. She was flying for a long while and Canterlot came in sight as she spotet a blue armored pegasus in front of her. "Iron Wing?"

Iron Wing was preparing for landing at the castle as she heared a familiar voice. "Iron Wing? What are you doing here?" she turned around and found her fillyhood friend Blazing. "Hi there, what a surprise! Well, i am in order of her majesty here for an important meeting..." she said adn went into a formation flight with the red mare. "Oh, you are on that meeting too? That´s awesome! I can´t wait to listen to everything! I am sure we will have much fun together!"   "What? You are on .... wait... this is no fun Blaze, this is a serious meeting!" Iron tried to explain to her best friend. But the fierce mare was already too excited about that. Iron sighed and started her landing, and Blazing followed her.

They saw some ponies standing around with a dragon. They couldn´t see much so they prepared a landing near this group. Iron Wing made a loud metalic "clank" as her hoove protectors set on the ground with heavy weight. Blazing instead screeched with her hooves on the ground while stopping. Of course the guards would look to them both two, so Blaze and Iron put out their letters to show that they were here on order of the princess. "We were ordered here. I am Commander Iron Wing Celes Grayhoove, and this is Ms Blazing Storm van Hoofenheim...." she introduced them both.

Has this character bat wings? By Celestia, i will cure him from this curse!

@@Iron Wing, I believe that you could develop Blazing more than Iron. Though if you want to play two characters... both Colt and Emi are in this RP, so I think some interaction would be in order.

 

Honestly, it's a tossup, and if you want to play Iron Wing instead of/with Blazing.

 

And, yes, this RP is being drawn, scripted, and featured on a tumblr blog, which I will post the link to (again) when it starts. Credit will be given where credit is due, and if you don't want your OC featured, then tell me/rascal now and we'll figure something out. Of course, just because you say no doesn't mean that your out of the RP. This is purely for privacy purposes. If you don't want it in tumblr, then you won't be mentioned on tumblr.

Ah, now i see how things are. I am sorry if i missed several details about the roleplay, and apologize that you had to explain this again. These informations are very usefull, and i think i am gonna play both characters if thats ok. It´s also completely ok if my characters are drawn and written about in Tumblr. I just was a bit surprised, thats all.

About Colt: Yes, i know him and his both characters since we are playing together in several roleplays. Normally our characters share all a big backstory (like you can see in Colts, Emi´s, Blaze´s and Iron´s bio), but since i believe that it wouldn´t be helpfull, we can play like we are meeting for the first time if that helps your story and the development.

I am open for every suggestion and i am happy to adapt my playstyle and characters to your imagination for this adventure. If i have to know anything else, please tell me so that i can prepare everything. That being said, i will prepare my first post for both characters, Blazing Storm and Iron Wing.

Hmm... i like the name of your OC, also because of the German reference.

What i think is missing is a better developed cutie mark story, also i miss a bit the appearance describtion. Then i have several questions:

- Does he have friends?

- How is his relationship to his family / parents? Is he still in contact with them?

- Does he have a house where he can return to after an adventure?

I influenced the decision as well,................ and that she could gain more from it. And Knight said that you could let her grow a bit more in this roleplay. Just a little confession.

Yes, i live in Germany, Bavaria in the town "Freising". Some say i am "typical" German, organized, proud, a bit too serious and loving good beer. But i can´t agree with everything. Unlike other girls here in Germany, i have a more... "dangerous" hobby. I am a member of a knights clan, fighting with armor and real swords, and i love the clash of metal, skill and strength. Perhaps i adapted that from my big brother, but since Freising has it´s own castle and stronghold, i thought "why not". And now i think it´s very addicting.

By the way, i hope that my English language skills aren´t too bad.

Well, since i am living in Germany i have another time zone. Right now i am at work, so i can post in the evening (in about 3-4 hours).

About what is going on: Like i understood everthing our Characters received letters from Princess Celestia that we have to gather in Canterlot for an urgent meeting, right? If so, i will write Blazing´s arrival at the castle soon.

I would say that depends on which character / role i am playing. Of course i like high damage weapons, but i am a roleplay who stays true to his character role. As a magician i would stick to combat-sticks, wands and staffs, rarely a sword. As a barbarian i would choose an axe, and as a thief i would use daggers and a sword.

Also i am more choosing if the cloths and armors are good looking and realistic for my character. As a mage i would never choose to wear a thick iron body armor, even if i could use it. Also playing like that is much more challanging, and i like that very much.

Oh my.... what are you doing Princess Celestia?

@Iron Wing, Exactly. If anything, I welcome the Iron and Blazing in, though if you only want to play one, that's fine. That, and I'm slightly prejudiced against letting PCs play evil characters. Sorry.

It´s ok, i just wanted to check if evil characters are allowed. It was a bit unclear for me. Well, then i guess i will play Blazing Storm.

@Iron Wing, Neither of the 'villains' fit in here, as it is kinda obvious that they aren't the type to let an eons old entity of pure evil into the real world. On the other hand, I will request that you play both characters. They mesh together in the right way.

So what you are saying is that i can´t play Duran or Thorn, but you would like me to have Iron and Blazing within the group?

Thats good to know, but i am not sure which character would fit in. If i played a "good" character i could play Blazing Storm or Iron Wing , and if i was about to play an evil character, i would choose between Duran the lynx or Thorn the ebony timberwolf.

But since i don´t know which character fits in with your story, i will let you decide.

"Oh... thank you very much!" Iron thanked Luna for that compliment. She really didn´t expect a compliment from a princess and she didn´t know how to react to it. For sure Luna had much more experience in singing and in other things aswell, so she would just treasure this... "Wait..." she thought. "If my complexion is any indicator?" she repeated in mind and blushed a bit.

Iron Wing got her saddlebag on and looked to the group. "We should go then since now everypony is here, so grab everything you want to take with you and lets go!" Iron said to everypony, leaving Ice´s shop. She waited outside until she got sure that everyone was following her, then going ahead. The route she was about to take led them outside Ponyville in the direction of Cloudsdale and than to a small forest to the village of her parents. It would be exciting to see the reactions of her mother and father to Ice Storm´s arrival.

Iron Wing had stepped outside the shop and waited until the others came. While waiting she thought about how to explain to her parents that Princess Luna and Twilight Sparkle came along to join their reunion. It would be a a very interesting meeting indeed. Slowly the group started to prepare for their little journey and it looked like most of them got ready. "Come on, we don´t have all day! You can continue your conversations on the trip." she said loudly to the ponies within Ice´s shop. They had to leave Ponyville or it would be too late to reach the other village before nightfall. Of course, she would love to ha ve something like a slumber party in her watchtower too. She giggled as she thought about seeing Luna on a slumber party. Also, as long as Emi was staying away from her and nagging her with these stupid comments, everything would be fine.

This would be Ice Storms special day, and Iron Wing wanted to make everything as perfect as possible. Of course she had to make the day good for the others too. Since the group now was that big, it was difficult to overwatch everything. Iron just hoped that everpony would follow her soon.

Opening her saddlebag with a wing and making a friendly wink to her feline friend the mare made an invitation "Come on Duran I bet you want a nice comfortable ride back home" flying or trotting made no difference she knew the lazy cat would liked a place to enjoy the trip instead of walking it.

Duran stretched a bit and looked to Emi, like he wanted to play a joke or something like that. Then he jumped and dived into the saddlebag and looked out, stretched a bit to reach Electrobolts nose and booped it softly with his paw. "100 points!" he thought, smiling and hiding in the saddlebag again. "Well Emi, this won´t be a ride home. I´ll come along to Irons parents." he answered the mare. It would be interesting to watch Daylight with his attempts to find out anything. Most difficulty would to be stay hidden with that much unicorns... and alicorns around. He would just play like a normal cat and since Electro was around, he had perhaps a partner to play with. "About your last request... yes, let me hear everything." he answered.
