    Link! Wake Up! Because this is Skull Gaming for Friday April 19th 2013!
     
    On April 17th Nintendo held a Nintendo Direct announcing a lot of info on upcoming games.
     
    The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2 has been announced for the Nintendo 3DS and there is a 3D video avalible now from the Nintendo eshop on the 3DS. The Oracle series was also announced to release on 3DS Virtual Console on May 30th.
     
    A new Yoshi's island game has been announced for the 3DS also a new Mario Party game for the 3DS.
     
    Mario & Luigi: Dream Team will be released August 11th, Mario & Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move May 9th, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D May 24th and Game & Wario on June 23rd
     
    There is a new Pink Pikmin that can fly over obsticals like water. Pikmin 3 is set to release August 4th.
     
    There will be a special 3DS XL for animal Crossing: New Leaf it comes wih the game installed on an SD card. It will be released on June 9th.
     
    Bravely Default, Guild02 and Professor Layton will be released outside Japan.
     
    Next week the new Wii U update will be released. Improving loading times by 13 seconds, can update and download software while turned off and will feature the virtual console service.
     
    And last... EARTHBOUND IS COMING TO AMERICAN VIRTUAL CONSOLE! YEAH!

    Hey Listen! This is Skull Reviews for March 8th 2013.
     
    The Fire Emblem series is back with the first instalment in full 3D. This game shows what the 3DS can handle even if its not the most powerful handheld out there.
     
    Graphics: While the graphics have been majorly increased from past games it still shows the same style as the other games. When you are in the grid based battle layout the characters are sprites and the landscapes are very basic but it fits the series. The 3D characters looked a bit choppy when not moving. The cut scenes are gorgeous and pre rendered so they can look the best they could.
     
    Music: There really isn't much to say about the music in the game but it is amazing but gets a little repetitive after a while.
     
    Voice Acting: Knowing Nintendo and voice acting they get the best possible person in the world to play that character. Most of the time you get the text instead of voice acting where you hear stuff like "Ugh" "What?" "Who?" "How?" "Hmm" so there is not much but text for most of this game.
     
    Story: The story of the game is quite predictable with some things you aren't expecting. It is a very emotional game where you can feel how the characters react to anything. Basically the kingdom gets attack you defend people die you get the Fire Emblem and defend the kingdom again.
     
    Gameplay: You kill the enemies to win the game. You move around on a grid based land scape only being able to move a certain amount of grids each time making this be a tough strategy game. Once you get close enough to an enemy you can attack and deal damage to them but they do damage back. If one of your people die during battle they are dead for good so you can never use them again. You do get a choice to let them die or be revived at the start of the game.

    Great game if you have a 3DS this is a must buy.

    I have recently played through trine 2 on the Wii U. Here are my thoughts.
     
    Trine 2 on the Wii U is really just a port from the PC version. The game is $15 and already has the DLC installed with it.
     
    I will not be using the characters name because I am bad at spelling.
     
    Gameplay: I love many puzzle games. But the Trine series always seems to stick out for me. I like the nice cuts between fighting and puzzle segments. The puzzles could be as simple as conjuring a box in the air to grappling to certain surfaces at the perfect moment those were the best moments of the game. When you get to the fighting part of the game it's just mash ZR and dodge. The unique thing about the game is that you can switch between three players (except when in multiplayer) This adds a lot of different ways to do puzzles.
     
    Graphics: The graphics are just beautiful. It almost looks better than the PC version. It has the half cartoonish half real feel to it like the Trine series have always had. The gamepad graphics were okay but I feel they could of put a bit more work into making it look a bit better. I found myself looking at the gamepad the most because it's easier to play as the wizard.
     
    Soundtrack: soundtrack was gorgeous for the first half of the game but then I felt like the music was starting to get a bit repetitive. But for what was in the soundtrack it was amazing.
     
    Voice Acting: The voices fit all the characters really well and they help you get more of a feel for the game. I found that the knight had less expression than the other characters. That may if just been how the makers wanted it.
     
    Overall
     
    Gameplay: 8.5
     
    Graphics: 9.5
     
    Gamepad Graphcs: 5
     
    Soundtrack: 7
     
    Voice Acting 8.5
     
    Overall: 8.5/10 really good games but had some flaws.

    Yesterday Sony revealed the PlayStation 4 at a Press Event. Here are its specs.
     
    - CPU: Custom chip containing eight X86-64 cores.
     
    - GPU: Array of 18 complete units generating 1.84 Teraflops of processing power
     
    - “Supercharged PC architecture”
     
    - 8 GB of GDDR5 RAM
     
    - Local HDD storage with unspecified memory amounts
     
    - Wi-fi Internet
     
    - Built-in camera to track the position of controllers
     
    - Background downloads, ability to suspend game while powered off
     
    - “Always-on” technology.
     
    - Social media integration
     
    Current PSN games will not be playable on PS4 but Sony is trying to make it so in the future it is possible.
     
    During The press event Sony told us about playing PS4 games on our Vitas via local wifi. This will be avalible day 1.
     
    What we were all worrying about, used games not being compatible with the next gen was false. We will be able to get used games and have them work on the new system.
     
    The PS4 has a set release date for this holiday. You can tell that they have probably been working on the system for a while if they want it to be released that soon unless they're rushing it.

    Another quick thing since I'm busy. I will make a full review when I finish the game.
     
    I'm sorry if this seems lazy. I've been having some family troubles still and it is still getting to me.
     
    So far I have made it to Chapter 9 in the game. All I will do today is give it its marks. Tomorrow I will go more in depth with what I played.
     
    Gameplay 8/10 trying new things brings a new feel in the series.
     
    Story: 8/10
     
    Graphics 8.5/10
     
    Soundtrack: 9/10
     
    Voice acting 9.5/10
     
    Overall 9/10. Great game.

    Normand Corbeil The composer of Heavy Rain has died today after battling cancer for 6 months. It's a shame since his music was amazing.
     
    PlayStation Plus on all Sony systems that it supports will be getting a new deal. Buy 1 year get 3 extra months.
     
    Tomb Raider will NOT be coming to the Wii U because Square Enix wanted every system to have its own special feature and that they could not do anything with the Wii U in the time. Sounds lazy to me. They could make it, it would increase the sales.
     
    How do you feel about the Wii U not getting Tomb Raider?

    Welcome to the weekly review. Oh nevermind again screw that I don't have anything to review.
     
    Welcome to a special edition of Gaming news. This is all about Nintendo.
     
    Nintendo was talking about some huge announcements a few days ago during a Nintendo direct.
     
    The Wii U will be getting two updates. One in Spring and the other in Autum. They will both make the Wii U loading time quicker.
     
    There will be Virtual Console games on the Wii U within the next months. Since its the fammicom 30th aniversary an NES or SNES game will be 30 cents for one month. Right now the game is Balloon Fight
     
    We will be seeing some photos of Smash Bros at E3 and we will be able to play a new party game a new 3D Mario and a new Mario Kart all at E3.
     
    A new epic yarn game titled as Yoshi's Yarn will come out on the Wii U I call it Yarn 2: The Adventure of Yoshi
     
    There will be a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker on the Wii U and a brand new Zelda.
     
    Lastly there was a trailer for a new xeonblade game or a game by the publisher very similar to xeonblade.

    Welcome to the weekly review... Screw that. Welcome to the huge story writing announcement! I have been working on a new book! It is called The Fight Of The Resting. I decided to leave The Running Man unfinished until further notice.
     
    The fight of the resting is about a person who has recently lost his sister to some robbers who were inside the house armed. The kids name is Yal. A typical 15 year old. But all will change when the robbers come back to his house and kills him. He then finds out that you have to fight to the death to see who will make it back alive and who will be forever dead.
     
    I am really looking forward to writing more of this book. I hope you enjoy the first 2 chapters when they are expected to come in July 2013.
     
    But wait! There's more! (I am really turning into an advertiser)
     
    I have an idea that I have not writen anything of yet. It is called The Police Line of Sight.
    Ica not tell you anything about this one.

    Stupid computers and stupid Word and stupid Pages. Why does everything hate me. First The Running Man chapter 1 got deleted 3 months ago and now every single document I had got deleted. Goodbye 20 game reviews and goodbye Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of the running man. I was gonna release BOTH of them tommorow. I hate computers.

    The Running Man. A story of teen who has been "accused" of killing. Did he do it or did he not. We might not ever know.
     
    I am sad to even be making this at all. The Running Man has been cancelled until further notice. I spent so much time on it and then BOOM lost all data on my computer. Full crash. It deleted all data and started out thinking it was a brand new computer. I looked on the hard drive and there was no backup data or anything. I apologize for the inconvenience for the people who were looking forward to reading this.

    Hey guys I am back and welcome to Video Game Week. Everything I make this week will have something to do with video games. So today I am doing a Review on New Super Mario Bros U for the new Wii U. I want to tell you ahead of time that my reviews are spoiler free. Since I'm using an ipod and it is hard to make spoiler tabs that is what I do.
     
    Mario is back and it is his first time ever being on the Wii U and in 1080p! Once again bowser captures Princess Peach, and Mario, Luigi and two toads go out to save her. You will travel through 8 worlds all having different themes. This time the world map is world map is all connected instead of warping to different worlds much like the world map in Super Mario World. In gameplay there is not much different than most other mario games exept the addition of the acorn. The acorn gives you the power of a flying squirrel. There is also three different types of baby yoshi, pink, blue and yellow. Pink acts as a balloon so if you shake the gamepad or press the ZR button he will propel you up into the air. The blue yoshi can shoot bubbles out of its mouth that can kill enemies and you can use the bubbles to bounce up into the air. Lastly the yellow yoshi will light up dark areas and can stun enemies. The game looks really nice and has a really glossy look to it. Though when looking at the gamepad it looks pixelated sometimes. The soundtrack for the game is once again recycled with a few minor changes, Nintendo says that the soundtrack is important but why are they using the same soundtrack over and over?
     
    Here are my ratings for the game
     
    Gameplay: 7/10
     
    Graphics: 9/10
     
    Soundtrack: 6/10 its getting repetitive
     
    Overall: 8/10

    Welcome to the first ever edition of Skull Movies where I review movies (Oh Really)
     
    Today I will be reviewing Wreck It Ralph a movie about a villain in a video game who wants to be a good guy.
     
    To start this off I want to say that this was a much much better movie than I thought it would. Ralph always gets thrown off of buildings because he's the bad guy and the good guys always win. After many years of this Ralph is getting fed up of being the bad guy so he jumps out of his game so he can get a "Hero Medal" so he goes to a First Person Shooter called "Heroes Duty" which is kinda like a halo game. He meets many adventures and messes all of them up.
     
    After he's done with Heroes Duty he goes into a racing game called "sugar rush" (I think) he meets many friends he gets into some hard times and most of all he makes enemies.
     
    That's all I can review without spoiling the movie.
     
    I would give Wreck it Ralph a 4/5 it was an amazing movie.

    Ok, so I have decided an official thing to do on Wednesday. I am writing a book called "The Running Man" I have been working on it a little less than 2 months. So I will be giving you an update about what's going on with the book. If you haven't heard about it... I am writing a 5 part epic about a kid who is running from the cops after he accidentally killed his mother. This book takes place modern time and is set in multiple locations in North America. This story was inspired by kolth.
     
    So I have a lot of the first chapter done and I should start editing around the 28th. I have made an offical date for chapter 1, January 2nd it all begins. And here's a little sneak peak....
     
    I woke up in a room it looked strange... I tried getting up. It didn't work. Something happend last night something strange. Then it caught me! The police found me in the back ally writing "Believe in miracles" in graffiti. I then noticed I was in one of those shirts that ties your arms together so you can't use them. I knew there was no way I could get out at the moment so I got onto the bed placed in the right corner of the room and fell to sleep.
     
    I hope you are looking forward to reading it. And be ready for cliff hangers. They're actually a great way to end of a whole series of stories so it will lead the reader thinking.

    The Running Man is going pretty well but I have a lot of spelling errors... I don't have much to update on since its on editing. Anyway to day I'll just be giving another sneak peak on the story, I hope you enjoy.
     
    I saw something moving closer to me every second I didn't know what it was until I heard his voice. "Stay calm I don't want to hurt you." He then ran toward me with an injection he was going to infect me with. The police are corrupted because of me. Instinct has me pulling out the gun I took. "Don't move or I'll shoot" I yelled at him. I heard footsteps from behind and I was then knocked out and couldn't do anything.
     
    I hope you enjoy the book.

    Last time I asked what you think of the new Pokedex iOS app. Bronium said "Couldn't you just get that information off the internet? I feel that this should be more of a fanatics collector's thing, you know? I mean, if this was at 5 dollars for all pokemon and a description like in the anime, I would totally buy it. I would buy it at 25 if it had the same voice like in the anime. That would be totally cool." I do agree with his statement that it is overpriced unless they add the anime voice but since The Pokemon Company doesn't really make the anime I don't think that will be happening.
     
    Rovio today announced that there will be an angry birds movie ominous to theatres summer 2016 made by the people who made iron man a despicable me I'm not sure what I think about that but I will watch it.
     
    Sorry for such a short edition. I wasn't sure what to do so I just did this.

    Welcome to the first edition of skull gaming which I will be posting every Monday. I will talk about 2 or 3 topics then ask a question for YOU to answer. I will share 3 answers the next week.
     
    The developers of the Bioshock games were talking about the new game Bioshock infinite and stated that the game is NOT coming to the Wii U. It kinda sucks for Nintendo users but if you really wanted it you would probably have whatever system the game started on.
     
    Today the Pokemon Company released a new pokedex iOS app in NA and Europe. It will cost $2 but you will not get every Pokemon. You can buy additional pack for $6
     
    What do you think about the price of the new pokedex app being about $25 which is $10 more than the 3DS app pokedex 3D pro.
