Bright Beam

Bright is a salmon pink colt of average stature, for his age at least. His eyes are a light orange and his mane and tail are a light blue gradient that fade to white. His main is composed of multiple looping curls but is kept pretty short. His tail is kept simple but is spiked at the end.

Bright is a very inquisitive unicorn, always poking his head into places it probably doesn't belong. He is curious and often asks questions and messes with things he doesn't know much about. However, he is impatient and easily bored so you have a half chance of him ignoring your explanation as he moves on to something else. This exists in dangerous combination with a seemingly lack of fear. Save for some claustrophobia, he doesn't seem to have a sense of fear, or if he does, he hides it well. Of course, this hasn't exactly been thoroughly tested as it isn't like it gets involved in lethal danger. He does show some concern over his blank flank. He tries not to dwell on it but if brought up, he'll normally quickly try to change the subject. Of more importance is his inability to use magic. He merely can't properly use telekinesis like most unicorns, there isn't anything wrong with him. But since he can't seem to perform it, he gets angry and upset about it. It's a sore point and if pressed, normally makes him surly and sour.

There isn't a whole lot to Bright's history. After all, he is just a colt and has yet to find his true purpose. He was born in Canterlot and spent most of his life there. But his parents were quick to notice the trouble he could cause. Wanting to raise him in a place he could exercise his curiosity and for him to not grow up to be so hoity toity like most other ponies there, they decided to move to Ponyville.

He actually does know one bit of magic. It happened during one of his romps through the streets of Canterlot. As he was want to do, he wasn't paying attention to where exactly he was going. His horn was tingling and just knew it was going to do something. However, in his inattention, he kinda bowled over a trio of other ponies. Naturally, they were angry at him and wanted some form of compensation. But Bright didn't have time for this. His horn just kept and tingling and he needed to be home soon for dinner. Suddenly, his horn glowed a warm orange and a burst of sky blue smoke billowed forth from his horn. And in the smokescreen, he was able to escape scot-free. At least until the same ponies showed up later at his door and demanded a heartfelt apology for his actions. But it was that day that his wild young unicorn taught him his one bit of magic.

He has since recently moved to Ponyville. Recently as in doesn't yet no anybody although his parents seem to know at least a bit of the geography. And yes, one of the first things they did was forbid him from going to the Everfree Forest, though this probably won't stop him. As such, he really doesn't know much of anyone there. Yet.
