Peony Spring stands just short of the average height of a unicorn mare. She styles her extra long mane and tail up in the current fashions of the rich and famous ponies. She ties them up using flowers she breed and grew herself.
Her coat color is a a soft tannish-pink while her mane and tail is a richer pink and reddish pink highlights. Her eyes matches the pink in her mane.

As such, she acts like a southern belle. And she is always seen in a frilly dress. She strives to always be kind to other ponies. She is a bit shy when meeting new ponies since she was privately schooled as a foal. She is a bit of a drama queen but not as bad as Rarity. She would feint if one of her precious flowers got ruined. She is also generous when it comes to a sad pony she meets. She would offer them a rare flower to help them cheer up, but she would then leave as fast as possible for being nervous around a stranger.
She fits perfectly into a crowed of rich, snobby ponies. Though she feels it better to not act all high and mighty. She prefers to stay by herself in those crowds, especially when she hears ponies talk bad about the lesser ponies. She finds most of her happiness when she is in her garden with her flowers. If she would get dirty, she will make sure to take a good bath afterwards to get cleaned up.
Her hopes is to one day buy a small farm in Ponyville so she could raise her flowers and sell to allow other ponies to know her love for flowers. She would also love to be able to meet Rarity one day and impress her with her flower fashion.

Her parents are wealthy, but not considered apart of the rich and well known. They run a jewelry store in Canterlot and do well for themselves. Peony was raised to follow in her parents hoof steps and take over the family business. They hired private teachers to educate Peony and teach her proper manners to fit in with the rich class. She was taught to always present herself as educated and sophisticated. With her private schooling, Peony Spring did not play with other foals much and did not make any friends. The only foal she got to know well was a foal that came over to visit with her parents as they discussed their jewelry and the latest gossip.
Peony discovered her special talent when she found a very rare flower growing in a park. When she picked it, she placed a spell on it that would allow it to live longer and keep its scent. The rare flower she had found, she discovered it was a magical flower that could speak telepathically. After it yelled at her for picking it, the flower instructed Peony how to help it to start roots again. Peony then became friends with it and it shared with Peony secrets about the flowers. With that she found her love for flowers. In her backyard she picked up the hobby of growing and breeding flowers. Much to the dismay of her parents who wanted her to get into jewelry. She wound up spending most of her time in the flower beds and getting dirty. Although she was allowed to play with her flowers, she was expected to wash up and look presentable in public. Her parents heard her talking to her first flower she planted, but passed it off as nothing since many others talks to plants to help them grow. The flower never spoke to any other pony but Peony.
After she got skilled at breeding flowers and growing rare breeds. She practiced to strengthen and lengthen her magic to allow cut flowers to live far longer than they would normally live after being cut. She made a few bits that she saved up by selling her flowers to wedding planners or to love struck stallions that wanted to present their very special some ponies with a flower arrangement. And with them living longer than other cut flowers, she was able to make a small fortune.
Her parents wanted her to grow her mane and tail out long, that way she could style it up in the recent fashions in the rich societies. This allowed her hair to grow extremely long. She found it fun to place the flowers she grew into her mane and tail. It also helped her to tie up her mane and tail so it would not drag along the ground.
Peony Spring became fascinated with fashion after Rarity opened up her boutique in Canterlot and ponies started walking around in her fashions. Though she never met Rarity in pony before, she became a fan of her work. Peony started to use her own flowers to decorate and arrange them on her hair and dresses. She became a slight fashionista as well. Her flower arrangements became extremely fancy as she practiced to be as good as Rarity.
