Cutie Mark: An anemometer. It represents his passion for meteorology (study of weather). At a glace, he can often make general predictions about what the weather will do in the next few minutes. He is also skilled in measuring various aspects of the weather and doing calculations to accurately predict the weather for the next few days. However, his main passion is researching the weather, trying to find new patterns and techniques to improve the accuracy of weather predictions.
Personality: He can be very optimistic, and it’s hard for things to really bother him. However, when something does really bother him, he has a tendency to try hiding his feelings and not tell anyone or look for help. It can be difficult to tell when he’s genuinely feeling happy, or he’s just putting on a brave face.

He’s quite introverted. He isn’t shy; he just doesn’t find conversing with others interesting most of the time. However, he is happy to talk about topics that interest him, especially meteorology, which he sometimes just won’t stop talking about.

Aside from meteorology, Aero is also interested in flying and games that involve lots of strategy. He isn’t interested in any athletic pursuits in flying, he simply enjoys being in the air with the wind in his face. He considers it a way to experience the weather he is extremely interested in. He generally enjoys games that require careful planning and thinking on each move. Some games he enjoys are chess, connect four and checkers, although he’d be happy to learn and play most games that have heavy strategic elements.
Backstory: When he was young, one of the toys Aero had was shaped like an anemometer, but made purely for spinning in the wind instead of measuring it. He would spend lots of time outside with it watching it spin from the wind. He was also interested with how it spun faster or slower in certain situations, such as if he put it behind a wall, or if he took it higher into the air. He was utterly fascinated about it.

As Aero got older, he took every opportunity during school to learn more about the weather. One week, as a personal challenge, he spent a few days gathering measurements from the weather, and used those measurements and what he learnt in class to predict what the wind speed would be the next day. On that day, he took an anemometer outside to check the wind speed, and got it spot on. Aero was ecstatic, and in that moment, his cutie mark appeared.

He spent most of his school years continuing his studies on the weather. He is now employed by a nearby weather station, where he uses the data they collect for his research on the weather, as well as sometimes helping out with the weather forecasts.
