Appearance: Basically everything is in the picture. Except for when she is a merpony, she has a tail. She also usually wears a seashell pinned by her left ear. Sometimes she wears a cloak.

Personality: Aqua is a shy but smart pony who loves to learn. She loves her friends dearly and would do anything to protect them. She has a strong sense of curiosity and is a fun pony to be around when on her good side. She only trusts her closest friends with her merpony secret. Aqua may have be a fish out of water when it comes to some things but she is a pony with a lot of strength. She loves the ocean very much and loves to express her merpony ways around those she trusts. The merl has her moments where she is pretty doubtful of herself and sometimes has a nagging feeling that she's never good enough. She has a sassy side that nopony should get on.

Backstory: (This whole page is actually under construction!! )Aqualuna was born in the watery world of Aquastria, where going onto land is strictly forbidden and immediately insane. There are illustrations of the above world but the last time their kind have taken on the above world, it was before Celestia and Luna's reign so the above world was total chaos.<br /><br />Ever since that time, no merpony was ever allowed to return to the above world.<br /><br />However, Aqualuna was born as a very curious merpony. She was raised mostly by her mother as her parents split when she was young. At times, she got to visit her dad. <br /><br />As soon as Aqua was a filly, her mind was often filled with books and her curiosity of the water magic. She started to perform tricks that no ordinary merl could perform at her age. <br /><br />Going to school, Aqua tended to overachieve in grades and always do her best. The merl was very shy although some of the merls there seemed to love her to bits. However, that didn't mean that she didn't have the not-so-nice gills that looked down their fins at Aqualuna.<br /><br />Along with water magic, Aqua also found herself interested in the magic from the surface as well. She was always full of curiosity and questions. Her teachers taught her all they could about the surface magic but she knew there was more to it.<br /><br />Aqua's gills of wonder pointed toward the surface, where the above world magic was rumored to be better practiced up there. She soon found herself being picked on for her curiosity. While some friends stayed loyal to her, there were others who turned against her as well. She always stayed quiet about these things with her family, knowing they would probably do the same.<br /><br />On one fateful day, Aqua's curiosity gets the best of and causes her to sneak out and travel to the surface during the night tides' surf. Once she arrives in HorseShoe Bay on the surface, she realizes a merpony gains legs when on land. That was a hidden fact in the Mer society.<br /><br />Aqua travels to Canterlot, where she makes her first land-dwelling friend with a royal guard. He was the first pony on land she entrusted with her merpony secret, which he has never exposed and continues to keep her secret, knowing how much their friendship and that secret means to each other.<br /><br />He helped Aqua settle into her home in Canterlot and helped her into Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, where she finished her studies on the above world magic. <br /><br />She loves to make visits at HorseShoe Bay where she can swim and be herself for the moment but she keeps these visits private.<br /><br />Aqua then begins her journey through Equestria, seeking adventure.<br /><br /><br /> <br /> <br />
