Appearance: A pitch black minotaur, large even by the standards of his species. His hair is shaggy and he has a rather scruffy appearance, as well as many battle-scars. His horns are black as well as his body.<br /><br />Generally wears baggy trousers with no shirt or shoes, and in battle he also carries a great-axe.

Cutie Mark: Minotaurs don't have cutie marks, but he does have a very distinct white birthmark on his chest that resembles a star.

Personality: Generally good-natured and jovial, loyal to his friends, has a strong sense of duty and justice, honest. When angered he tends to become violent. Somewhat jaded after his years of battle. Fearless, or at least pretty close. Doesn't generally boast, but if you ask him about his exploits he'll gladly discuss them at length. Has strong instincts honed by years of fighting. Has a tendency to "go with his gut" rather than thinking out a solution, but is still capable of planning things out when necessary. He doesn't like killing, but he enjoys a good fight just for the fun of it, and often goes adventuring.

Backstory: Born in Canterlot, he knew no other minotaurs but his parents. Throughout his youth, ponies tended to be afraid of him because of his tremendous size and strength, but those who were brave enough to talk to him at all often teased him with the stereotype that minotaurs are stupid. Although he wasn't the smartest, he tried his best and became far more knowledgable than anyone would expect a minotaur to be. When he was old enough he joined in the military, where he fought for many years and earned great renown. Throughout this time he was called many nicknames by his comrades, ranging from "Horns" to simply "big guy", but one name in particular stuck: "Star" or "Starry" after his distinctive star-shaped birthmark. He would continue to use this name even after retiring from the military. He left the army after twenty years of service at the rank of captain and opened an inn and tavern in Canterlot, intending to live out the rest of his days in peace. However, he sometimes gets tired of this, and occasionally he goes out in search of adventure.
