Appearance: A light-brown/tannish coat, her mane and tail are a slightly (noticeably) darker shade of brown with a few streaks of golden blond intertwined.<br /><br />Her eyes are dark and murky looking when she's gazing towards the ground or just looking down slightly, bangs also obscuring them. When she looks up, her eyes flash a lovely jade green.

Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is a star stream, consisting of the main star (faded and somewhat hollow in the center) sitting slightly tilted towards the right, with three smaller stars flowing behind the right leg of the main, turning towards the right forming the stream tail.<br /><br />Her cutie mark signifies the uncertainty of her future and the clarity of her past.<br /><br />It also signifies her special talent of astrological navigation.

Personality: Astra is reserved in public — deathly silent save for a "Sorry" every so often. She stares at the ground in a sulking manner, often times just going about her business and departing.<br /><br />She loves to fly, preferring the calm serenity of floating on a cloud a dusk to being in the cramped cities. She's not the fastest flyer, but instead makes up for that with stamina and� distance travelled. Although she prefers the solitude of her perch, she also feels the need to be around other ponies.<br /><br />Her personality can be described as chaotic, usually a flurry of different emotions all colliding with each other at once (all hidden behind her placid demeanor). While is mostly happy, she has the more occasional knee jerk emotional reaction of annoyance to other ponies, which she internalizes mostly, with only a slight scowl being externalized.<br /><br />She isn't bipolar, however she is highly empathic and may attune to another ponies emotional state without realizing it consciously.<br /><br />When Astra is happy, she perks up her ears, her eyes light up and she's smiling. If she's really happy, she may even start crying. :') While she does experience emotional peaks (more often than other ponies might realize) she also has low points. Sometimes, very low points. ;_;<br /><br />Astra usually can seem to be completely passive-aggressive, but she will fight if she is cornered. If she's defending somepony important to her, she will fight tooth and hoof — until she wins or until she falls.<br /><br />In public, Astra is polite and reserved, offering only a smile as her common response. When with friends, she acts more or less like a total tomboy (though she is still polite).

Backstory: Astra Alcor was born in a small town near the southeast border of Equestria. She left her hometown, fearing she would not get to live life to the fullest¹, and flew for days on end, until she reached Manehatten.<br /><br />She barely scraped by, sleeping on clouds to avoid rent (and some of the ruder city ponies).<br /><br />She was formerly employed by the Equestria Mail service, making night deliveries to smaller, lesser know towns and villages, but quit after she flew too close (for her comfort) to a full grown dragon, who blended seamlessly into the night sky.<br /><br />She is currently a navigator/Team-Leader for PegaShips Inc, a private shipping company that specializes in large shipment transport via Pegasus pulled air balloons (they mostly operate in the Manehatten-Canterlot area, but do go as far as Los Pegasus). She can stay in the safer areas of Equestria this way (and travel with a group), but the company is still getting off the ground and isn't quite as well-known, thus she still sleeps on clouds to avoid Manehatten's horrible rent prices.<br /><br />She is looking to transfer to the still-being-built Ponyville Facility (where all the good apples and cider are at).<br /><br />____________________________<br />Notes<br />1 That's what she tells everypony, anyway.
