Appearance: She's a black pegasus, with slightly yellow tinted patches of fur, and full fledged wings. Her mane and tail are of a not so strong yellow, with peach stripes, which she brushes back onto a frizzy mess. She wears purple glasses, as well as fake gold and rhinestone jewelry, and orange bangles.

Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is a peach star superimposing a yellow galaxy, with smaller, purple stars surrounding the bigger star.

Personality: A rather shy and dorky Fillydelphia pegasus, Cosmic Star doesn't seem very friendly at first, also because she'll avoid interacting with anyone who she doesn't know and doesn't strictly necessarily need to interact with, but, once sher overcomes the barrier, she's very friendly and even over talkative. She loves learning about new stuff, mainly Astronomy, which is what she is currently studying at Canterlot, and also, if you ask about anything related to it, she'll not stop talking about it until she runs out of breath. She has had only one crush before, an earth pony who was her friend from foal school. She's also very close to her family, and mainly, her two younger sisters, who she loves so much, but, since she has moved to Canterlot for her studies, she's been finding herself missing her family quite a lot as of lately, as well as her city.

Backstory: Cosmic Star is the oldest daughter of a pair of pegasi, Bright Star and Shooting Star, and sibling of Burning Star and Wish Star. Born and raised in Fillydelphia, her father, Bright Star, is a high-ranked professor at the local university, and her mother, Shooting Star, is on a high position at an important company of Fillydelphia. Since young, Cosmic Star has always interested herself in the sciences, which she learned about everything through any means, be it magazines, or even books that she had gotten ahold of, but, in foal school, she had never been very special, or anything, and ranked average on the class.<br />Also, there was something else that made her fall behind her classmates: even after all of the foals of her age had gotten their cutie marks, she still hadn't found out what made her special from other ponies, and continued to have a blank flank for a long while. She tried to not let that get to her, but even her parents were already beginning to get worried; even her younger sister had already gotten hers, and anything that Cosmic did wasn't enough.<br />But that finally changed one special day. A colt she secretely crushed with, who went by the name of Blue Jay, had tried to approach her, and was trying to befriend her, but, as shy as she is, and as awkward as he was, it wasn't really working for either of them. Until he mentioned stars. Which only got her talking about everything and anything she knew about Astronomy so far. And that's when her cutie mark appeared, a galaxy with a star superimposed, and smaller stars around it, to represent her enthusiasm in sharing her knowledge with others, as the galaxy stretches its arms out of the main star, towards the others stars. And that's when she realized that she should pursue a career as an Astronomer, as it was the main thing she liked.<br />Eventually, Cosmic Star had to say her goodbyes to Blue Jay, when his family moved away from Fillydelphia, and went to establish themselves in Vanhoover, and she lost his contact, due to her own scatterbrainedness, but she then went on to apply for studies on Canterlot University, which she did get in.<br />But, moving to Canterlot was a hard thing for her to do. She was very close to her family, mainly her sisters, and moving away from them for the first time really impacted on her. Also, in addition, her problems with interacting with others makes it very difficult for her to find friends at Canterlot, as she does tend to avoid anything social, or with other present ponies. She can't decide whether she should just leave her studies, and return to Fillydelphia, at the cost of leaving behind what she feels like it is her destiny, or stay at Canterlot, as lonely as she currently is.
