Personality: <p> There are many ways to describe Dawn. She is witty around her friends and genuinely cares for those in need. She is also smart in terms of intellect, but she can be a bit naïve at times. Those who know her well enough could say that she seemed to be curious about the world around her, but also shy around those who she doesn't know. </p>

Backstory: <p> Dawn was born in the city of Canterlot to a pegesus guard named Algard and a unicorn storekeeper named Bertha. The two raised Dawn as any parent would and sent her to school at the age of six. During this time, she learned to harness her magic and nearly everything else fillies and foals would learn at her age. She would always be seen wearing a cloak when she wasn't in school. After a year of living in Canterlot after graduating school,the mare decided to move to Ponyville to see how town life would treat her. She never really did like the rush of the big city. She bought a moderately sized, two-story house with a study, three bedrooms, two and half bathrooms, and pretty much anything else a house might have. At the age of twenty,Dawn was outside looking at the night sky when a aurora lit up the darkness. She didn't know why, but she was drawn to it's light and followed the trail towards a nearby forest. She didn't know how far she had gone before she had found decrepit ruins that seemed to be letting the light out into the air. She soon found the entrance to the ruins and was amazed by what she saw. Intricate stone carvings covered the walls of the main room and saw that on the center pedestal laid two sets of four bracers. Seemingly drawn to the purple and green gems, she put each of them on her legs and was driven into her what looked like a representation of her mind. There, she met Baz, a aura beast that had been trying to find her friends but had instead found something completely different. Baz told Dawn that she along with her friends roamed the land long before Celestia but her kind had either been hunted to extinction or had been sealed away from the world by a mage that they had come to call a friend. Dawn then gave Baz the offer of staying in her mind and the aura beast accepted. A bright light then temporarily blinded Dawn and when she returned to her body, a pair of wings had grown and she had also gained a bit of height.The mare soon found out that having Baz in her mind gave her control over a energy surrounding all living beings called an aura. She still lives in Ponyville and always wears a cloak to hide her wings. </p>
