Cutie Mark:

Not really a cutie mark as such, more of a tattoo of music notes.

Personality:

Kitsue is a shy and quiet fox. She is an observer and stays at a distance. She likes to get a feel of her surroundings before engaging too much. She is an introvert and would much rather be alone with her thoughts and music and books before being around a group of animals. Once she opens up she can be quite the chatter box, she loves hard and trusts a bit too much. She has learned to question everyone's motives and that can label her as shallow and rude, but she is only trying to read them, and to figure out what they could possibly want from her.

Backstory:

Kitsune is first generation on the mainland of Equestria. Her parents are from a far off island beyond Griffonstone. Kitsune's mother was pregnant with her when she and her husband had arrived in Manehattan. Manehattan was a rough place for her parents, being so different from the ponies that ran the shops and walked the streets. They rode the train for days until finally they found what they thought was a small little town. It was a town with fewer ponies, which they thought would be a good thing. But turned out that the ponies weren't quite sure about them, they hadn't seen creatures like them before. Their bright red fur and sleek bodies made the ponies question their motives.

Heads hug a bit low they walked through the town until they got to the boarder of it and a forest. The forest was dark and misty from the outside. They figured it would be the best way to avoid any sort of shame or pain from any of the ponies. As they made their way into the forest they began to see the beauty of the forest. It was cool as the trees were tall and full of life shading the forest floor. Fireflies dancing as they made their way deeper into the forest. Small streams making their way along side them. Following the water they finally found a dry cave they decided to finally call home.

Kitsune would always run off to the abandoned castle at the edge of the forest. Running with her music playing and satchel keeping tempo with her agile body. She would escape there most weekends while her parents Kiko (Mother) and Tenko (Father) would go to market with their goods to sell. She would make her way to the library and one by one she read the entire collection of books. Her favorite books were about music, she found comfort in understanding everything music could do for creatures. She experimented with different types of music on some of the smaller animals in the forest. Trying to figure out which is more pleasing to the body and mind and which ones create tension or aggravation. She read books on how to write music, how to play music, and how to understand music. She would gently put words to the music that she composed.

During her exploration of the castle she found a piano, it was rough and there were quite a few keys missing, but she cleaned it up, tuned it as best she could and replaced the keys with what she could find that would work. Day by day she would work on her skills. She would spend hours at a time writing and playing, playing and writing.

By the time that she was 21 she had been playing and studying music for nearly 10 years. She had a plan, she had saved up the money that she got for watching some of the youngsters that were in the Everfree forest and she was going to go to Manehattan. Where her parents were shamed and put down, she wanted to bring their names honor. She wanted nothing more than her parents to feel pride and feel like they belong. And not in a dusty cold cave where no pony can ever see just how amazing they are. For foxes everywhere she wanted to show the world that there is more to them than meets the eye.

By the age 26 she had composed hundreds of songs, some lyrical, but most of them instrumental. She was sought after by many theaters to produce music for their plays. She would read the script and come up with the right music for each scene that required it. She had conductors writing her often for fresh new pieces that would move the audience from one emotion to the next. She had almost a sixth sense in knowing what the ponies wanted to hear. They would leave the theaters after having gone through a variety of emotions and the plays and concerts would go on selling out each night they were in town.

Finally she had decided it was time to move closer to home. She had experienced the city life and made a name for herself. A name that her parents could be proud of. She packed up her things, made her way back to the Everfree Forest, packed up her parents belongings and moved all of them into Ponyville. She picked out a small cabin for herself, and she purchased a little farm house for her parents. It didn't have too much land, just enough for them to have a garden just for themselves, but also enough to sell on the weekends. They could be part of the community and be proud to be who they are.

At age 28 Kitsune is still composing her magical music. She has requests from near and far for her pieces and business has only increased for her. She still keeps an active life, trying to break out of her shell a bit and making a few friends. Time is on her side, and she has so much more to experience. Life is just starting for Kitsune, she is hungry for more! She is branching out to do more as her songs still bring in enough money for her to live off of. She makes honey and a few things here and there to sell in the town and every pony seems to not get enough.
