Appearance: A white mare alicorn with a black mane with rainbow highlights. She has a gryphon like tail with a rainbow fluff at the end, a sort of birth defect and has greenish blue eyes, as well as very large ears. She also has golden hooves, and tends to go out in public always wearing her brown cape and hood.

Cutie Mark: Lightning Bliss wouldn't receive her cutie mark till she was 12yrs old due to that she indulge in many activities she found appealing, even in Cloudsdale before she moved to Appleloosa. Whether it be her artwork, story writing, listening to new music, or being into steam-punk fashion, she would be into as a means to get away from her classmates who would insult and critic of her large ears and odd tail. She hated instigating anger and fights, and would do her best to keep the peace by hiding away in her hobbies. Then one day a gryphon exchange student came to her school. She was eager to meet him since she never met a gryphon before and thought it to be an opportunity to meet somepony that wasn't a pony and wouldn't judge her on appearance. As she came to meet the new student that school morning, she walked into a scene of her school bully, harassing and challenging him to a fight. A rogue unicorn known as Chase Razor. But the gryphon was a shy geeky fellow and was terrified, feeling lonely and helpless as the unicorn lashed out at him, calling him a beast that didn't deserve to go to school like the rest of the ponies. Disgusted by Chase's behavior, Bliss came to the gryphon's defense, supporting him for who he is, and that he has equal rights as all beings of their world do. Moved by her words and bravery for standing up against Chase Razor, her classmates rallied with her, scaring the bully away and cheered for Bliss's efforts of bringing peace back to their school. She realized then she had a love for many things, but not so much as the joy of ponies and other beings coming together in peace...and in that moment her cutie mark appeared. A rainbow heart with a black lightning bolt going down the middle.

Personality: She's a cheerful, bit shy at first but confident and passionate in everything she loves, and is eager to try new things. Only when others question about her ears, her tail or her alicorn tributes does she lose confidence in herself. When with friends she's both very playful, energetic and willing for adventure. But when around new ponies she tends to be a bit awkward and clumsy on her words, but does her best to socialize and feels like she has to now that she's an alicorn.

Backstory: Lightning Bliss was born a pegasus pony, in Cloudsdale the first 11yrs of her life. She had it difficult living in a large family with five other brothers and sisters, but much so, she was born with large ears and an odd tail, making her social life awkward and sometimes saddening. Her parents were hard working ponies both focused on completely different work ethics. Where as her father was captain of the Thunder Storm Weather Team, who believed in strength and firmness, her mother was one of the Cloudsdale nurses, gentle and soft. Her parents collided on several times till it got to the point they divorced, her mother moving to Appleloosa and remarried to a mustang earth pony. The divorce separated her family, turning her world upside down. While her younger siblings went to live with her mother in Appleloosa, she remained behind in Cloudsdale, to be raised by her father. He taught her no matter what other ponies say about her looks or features, to remain strong and proud of who she was…The struggle of life was hard for Bliss as her father was blunt and pushed her to do twice as good as her classmates in Cloudsdale school, and not never get down. Then one day, her father surrendered to his own stress from his work and personal feelings…and passed away during a thunderstorm errand. With her father gone, and no family in Cloudsdale to look after her, Blissy moved in with her mother in Appleloosa, joining the town's school. Though the loss of her father was traumatic, she remembered his teachings, and did her best to hold her head up and find her happy ending. The next few years of her foal life, would be raised by her mother and gentle step father Shy Hammer, who taught her the ways of an Earth Pony culture, and how to endure the life and elements in a desert like setting. She learned the value of using her legs, as much as her wings, and found a new joy in running as well as flying. She made it a hobby to run and frolick with some of the local buffalo who came into town, being they never picked on her for odd tail or ears, and accepted her as a comrade. Where as in school, she was picked on by the head school bully, a unicorn who previously lived in Canterlot known as Chase Razor. Despite her daily insults from the school bully, Bliss enjoyed her life in Appleloosa. She learned the imprtance of tending the land, and learned the value of care and kindness from her mother Gentle Feather.
