Cutie Mark: Mantorok's Cutie Mark is his signature rune, representing his ability to use runic based spells.

Personality: Mantorok is quiet, calculating, and wise. In his earlier days, he was rather generous, feeding the poor and helping farms. As his age drew on, he became more and more apathetic. While he certainly does care, the chances of him actually involving himself are low unless a situation is dire. In his old age, he has become manipulative and now he desires to keep the forces of nature in check, for he fears that they are uncontrolled

Backstory: Mantorok started off an Earth Pony, tending to crops and farms. He was loyal and hard working, doing what he could to help his community. When a drought hit though, it seemed like his community would die out. He poured over ancient tomes, attempting to find a way to save the crops. Eventually, he found the Tome of Eternal Darkness, a book which allowed the reader to use runic based magic. After reading it, he was able to save the farms with some well placed protective runes. For this act of heroism, he became an alicorn. Ponies called him the patron of death and life because he used dead bodies to fertilize fields. As he grew older though, his body began to fail him...as did the Tome of Eternal Darkness. The book fed off his will power and made him apathetic, caring less and less about the ponies he once helped. So Mantorok fled to the wastes and now simply sits there, his body a mere husk to the runes he uses to keep himself alive. While he still fertilizes the land from afar, his motives are more urgent now...
