Personality: A brave, careful pony who loves playing practical jokes. But the one thing he can't tolerate is a bully. If he sees anypony having trouble, he will drop what every he is doing to help them out.

Backstory: Mirage was a pony that was always picked on and made fun of because he was a blank flank. He didn't like being the only pony with a blank flank. After school he went home and found that his parents left a note. Mirage your father and I are going to Canterlot for our anniversary be back in two days, love mom and dad. The next morning he woke up to the sound of knocking on the door. He woke up and opened the door, he saw two cops standing there, he asked can I help you officers? The first officer removed his hat and said are you Mirage Flame? He nodded and said yes, what's going on? The second cop removed his hat too and said, son, your parents have been murdered. His heart stopped. Mirage said is this some kind of a joke? The cop said, I wish it were son. The cops told him what happend, how they were heading to their hotel when a robber said give me your money NOW! His father and mother were frozen in fear. His father tried to reason with the robber and took a step forward. The robber got scared and pulled the trigger. His parents died by somepony who wanted the bits in his wallet. After the incident everyday after school, Mirage flew up to the clouds and just laid there with such sadness.<br /><br />5 years later Mirage grew up strong and became a incredible flyer. He was working harder and harder when one day he got a letter, it was from the WonderBolts! He was so excited that they wanted him to come train at the academy. When he got there he got shivers down his spine. He saw all the other ponies working hard. Hey then heard a voice, Hey new guy, you must be Mirage Flame. My name is Spitfire I'm captain of the Wonderbolts. He was still in shock that he got here. He always wanted to fly with the wonderbolts. Spitfire said, this is the first time we have had a 15 year old Pegasus join the wonderbolts so don't think that we will take it easy on you. He smiled and said, I wouldn't have it any other way. <br /><br />After 5 years of training he started living at the academy he was the hardest worker the Wonderbolts had ever seen. One day he was working on a new stunt when his wing clipped the edge of a ring and started to fall. His mind started rushing through his thoughts and he then saw his parents. At that moment he saw and streak blue, he closed his eyes and then he heard a loud, BOOM, he opened his eyes and saw a rainbow! For some reason it started getting closer. He was about to hit the ground when out of no where. WOOSH and Pegasus had snatched him up in time. He looked at the pony and saw the pony holding him. All he could see where two red rimmed eyes. The pony said, that was a close one. Just hang on we're almost at the academy.<br /><br />When they arrived at the academy Mirage woke right up. He saw the pony that saved him, he asked for the ponies name so he could thank her properly, she said my names Rainbow Dash and she said don't mention it. He stretched his wings and he felt a sharp pain in his left wing. Spitfire said let's take him to the ground and get him to a doctor. When they got to the doctor he showed an X-ray of his left wing, he had broken his wing in two places. Mirage was so frustrated because he wouldn't be able to fly for a long time or maybe ever!<br /><br />Even though his wing was broken he decide anything is better than staying here and with the docs permission he left and went on with his life. He went to college and continued his education.<br /><br />One day a he was heading to class when he saw a mare being bullied by three griffons. He went over to them and said, hey can u stop picking on her. The griffons responded with anger because he was ruining there fun. They pushed Mirage away and went back to bulling the mare. He didn't like this one bit. He went up to one of the griffons, tapped hi. On the shoulder and as he turned around he deliver a hoof to his face! He was out cold. The second griffon jumped at Mirage but her ducked and then bucked the griffon into a wall. Mirage walked up to the last griffon and said, Leave her Alone, with hatred in his voice. The griffon grabbed Mirage's bandaged wing and twisted it. He screamed in pain. The mare looked up and saw the colt in trouble. She grabbed the griffons claw trying to pry his wing from the griffons grasp. The griffon's claw didn't budge, he then back handed the mare and she hit the lockers. Mirage saw what the griffon did and at that moment he felt a fire ignite inside of him. He then stood up and kicked the griffon in the stomach with such force that as he delivered the kick, his hoof was on fire! He sent the griffon packing down the hall. Mirage walked to the mare and held out his hoof. Need some help? He asked with a smile. She grabbed his hoof and stood back up and with out any hesitation she hugged him and said thank you so much! Mirage was trying to process what was going on. He put his hooves around her and said no problem, I have always hated bullies. He said, I was actually bullied in school because of this. He turned to show the mare that he had a blank flank. When she saw, she was shocked that a pony at my age should have their cutie mark by now. But Mirage said, I wonder how my hooves were on fire? It was like I had a reason to fight back. At that moment he closed his eyes and started to think when the mare told him to look at his flank. He looked and saw a triple flame on his flank. He was ecstatic because he got his cutie mark! That was probably the proudest day of his life.<br /><br />The colt and the mare had been dating for a few months when the doctor called him. He rushed over to the hospital as soon as he could. The doc said, good news it looks like you can take that bandage off your wing! It looks like you will be able to fly again. He was so happy to hear that after a couple weeks of taking the flying slow, he was as good as new. He went out for a fly when he had a great idea. He decided to start his own flying team! And with the help of the mare he had saved she gave him the support he needed to go through with this. He called his flight team the Incinerators. After having Pegasus turned down by the wonderbolts he told them that he could help make them better flyers than they ever were. After creating his flying team he headed back to ponyville to see the mare he saved.<br /><br />Later that week he decided he wanted to live closer to her so he bought a house in ponyville. And to this day Mirage Flame is training recruits for his team, and he is a current resident of ponyville. He and the Mare are still seeing each other as well. Mirage said to himself, I am living a perfect life and I have my parents to thank for bringing me into this life.
