Personality: Thunder Shred has a no-hold attitude, and tends to speak his mind freely to anyone and everyone, regardless of their stance on the topic. He is friendly once you get to know him, but he can appear insecure and strange to those who don't yet know him.
Backstory: -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
========== IN THE PROCESS OF BEING UPDATED ===========
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thunder Shred was born in Cloudsdale, like almost all other Pegasi. When he was just a young colt, Thunder found a love for metal music. Listening every day, through almost the entire night, Shred learnt the sounds of Metal. Without really thinking about it, he had practically locked himself out of the trsditions of the Pegasi and skipped most of flying school, leading him to his failure at school, and his parents forcing him to stop listening to music. This came as a great shock to Thunder, as his father was the one he originally found out about metal from. Shamed, Thunder Shred took to the skies and set out for somewhere to live, away from flight school, away from his parent's limitation.
Shred had soon become bored of his currently boring life, so he set out to learn the ways of metal. While searching, he came across a guitarist in Ponyville, who taught him the "Way of the Frets." The moment Shred first picked up that guitar, he knew what to do. His mentor gave him a "simple" exercise straight up: play something, like a solo. Thunder, instinctively grabbed a pick and started playing away, sweeping, tapping and shredding on the fretboard. His mentor was amazed at the young stallion's skill with the guitar. Thunder Shred started slowing down, but then started playing another scale, speeding up each time.
He picked, faster and faster and faster, until all that could be seen was his face, unbreaking in concentration, his body, crouched in determination and his hooves, moving faster than the wind itself. Shred was picking so fast that he had created a static charge, which had soon turned into a rotating thunder cloud. With a release of the energy from the cloud, the stallion struck a power chord and glanced down at his mentor, to see him in awe, staring at his flank. Upon his flank sat his newly-earned cutie mark, a guitar pick with a thunder bolt on it. Despite being (the equivalent of human years) 15, he had only just found his cutie mark and only just realized that he had none before.
Now, eleven years later, Thunder Shred goes by another name: Raptor. His stage name. The stage name of the lead guitarist for the greatest metal band Equestria has seen since Strapping Young Colt.
