Personality: PURE EVIL, no morals, cruel, greedy, murderous, and traitorous. He doesn't care for the lives of anyone, not even his own family. His vileness is like this for a reason however...

Backstory: Umbra is an evil unicorn pony, who practises dark magic and necromancy, putting them to use by doing despicible deeds on innocent ponies to satisfy his hunger for cruelty. Umbra was not always like this however, many years ago, in the small town of greysaddle, lived a newly-wed couple, cobalt grim and lavender passion. They lived happily until one day lavender caught a strang disease that no doctor could cure, after many monthes of magic study, cobalt was also unsuccessful. The situation worsened when lavender was discovered to be pregnant, causing cobalt to double his efforts. After nine full monthes of failed experiments, cobalt began to get desperate, causing him to study forbiddon, dark magic, cobalts studies eventually led him down a different path than he expected. Cobalt's studies led him to the discovery of an ancient book of black magic, one so evil and powerful that it was forbiddon to ever be opened, but cobalt ignored the warnings and opened the book. After searching the book for many days, he finally found a spell that had the means of curing lavender...but at a cost. The spell cobalt used summoned the grim reaper, death himself, to the house. The spell allowed the user one wish from death but only if a bargain was struck. Cobalt begged death to cure his wife and unborn children, death accepted...but only on the condition that cobalt became deaths soul harvester, collecting innocent souls for eternity. Cobalt agreed, allowing death to corrupt him with his magic before dissappearing with an evil chuckle. With his soul now tainted, cobalt grim had become umbra void. His wife and unborn children were cured yet umbra no longer cared for his family anymore, but when his chlidren were born, he saw potentiol of evil in one of them that he desired to kinder. After all umbra had sacrificed, his efforts were in vain as lavender passion died during childbirth. Yet despite the loss, umbra merely ignored her death and kidnapped his own daughter, leaving his only son an orphan. Many years later, umbra's son, crimson grinn, came to umbra for revenge, but after using a dirty trick, umbra defeated crimson and murdered his own daughter and left crimson in a state of half death. He now resides on his cursed island, the red x, waiting for his son to come take his final revenge.
