Equestria's motto 'love and tolerate' is a line a dictator would use. Agree?

I've been reading a very good fanfic where the G1 pony Wind Whistler comes up with this phrase as she tries to seize power from Megan. And to be honest, I think the phrase does sound like something a dictator would use!

If spoken as a command...sure. Any verb would sound enforced, even if it can't rightfully manifest that way.

 

Demanding/dictating love and tolerance would go against that very directive. It's an idea grounded in acceptance and appreciation for what's around us.

 

I can see you spinning it a few ways, but it comes down to what that phrase means to you.
