Gambling and Royalty Don't Mix (Dusk x Bionic)

Aces saw the fiery look in Quillina's eyes and chuckled. "Now that I reckon is a mighty fine idea ma'am. Let's bring it down", Aces said as he picked up his deck and slid out of his seat. He headed off in the direction of the roullette tables, which he immediatly cleared of bits in one game.

Quillina in turn dominated the craps and the kemps table, stealing herself coins that probably would be more than she'd make in a week. she continued to move around the places, picking places after Aces had destroyed them. Picknig up the reminants, she giggled and then looked at him, "what's the status?"

"Giggles...truly sinster.. whelp..let's jus'say, im real glad my hat is enchan...my hat", he yelps running back to thier table and grabbing his hat that was luckily still full...just..hidden by his enchantment. "I think we're 'bout done here, sugercube, so whad'ya say we clear out before these guys kill us", he says only half joking.

Quillina nodded, grabbing his hoof and dragging them both out of the casino. As no one else had recognized them, they made it in the home clear. Quillina dragged him into a local bar and laid the bits they had in front of them, then gave him 60% (as he'd done more work) and she took 40%, which was still a large amount, "Thanks. We should do that again sometime!"

Aces High sat and dropped his coins into his hat then placed itvback atop his head, his horn sticking out the front. He ordered a couple of drinks and sandwiches. "I don't know if your'e hungry or thirsty but of ya are theres some cider and a sandwich. If not i'll have 'em. And Id be delighted to gamble with you again Miss Script".

She nodded, "I may be royalty, but that doesn't mean that I'm picky!" She smiled, then she slowly seemed to drain of her condifence as she was no longer gambling. But she retained some, "Well, I'd love some!" She pulled out the bits to order some food and she shook his hoof, "Quillina script, I never gave you my last name." She smiled, "And I'd be delighted to too!"

"Ya'didnt need to tell me your last name Quillina...you are kinda' famous once your cutie mark shows. He chuckles as he bites into his sandwich. "Ya' know, Canterlot aint all that bad...maybe I'll stick around a while". He drains his cider and buys three more draining them just as quickly. "I....love.....cider!".

She looked at the label, "Oh yeah...uh...yeah." she blushed and downed her first cup of cider, "I think this is Ponyville Cider, which means it's made by hoof and wheel. Pretty strange way to make it, if you ask me. The cider is really good though!" She giggled and paid a few more off, starting a tab for them both.

"Hey, now...dont go dissing my ponyville cousins' cider methods, sugarcube. They work hard to make each barrel as...deli- tas- heck, as good they are. But I think AJ spits in mine whenever I show up as her idear of a joke". He downs four more bottles and leans back on his stool, falling flat on his back.

Quillina giggled and continued drinking, "Well I met two salesponies called flim and Flam, they sure can make cider! it's...a shame..." She was at her seventh cup, now about half drunk, "...that they...broke it...when they...stuffed rocks into it!" She started to lean back, and collapsed beside him. She looked at him with her drunk eyes.

Still on his back, Aces High ordered about eight more ciders throwing his bits to the bartender, accidentaly pelting him in the face. He quickly drained his eight new "elixers of life" (as he thought of them) and laughed as he thought about Flim and his brother Flam. "Those guys...are such lo...utes. Jus' sayin'".

Quillina never really could hold donw alcohol very well. she drank more and more, spending more, until she'd probably need help getting back to the palace that night. She looked at him and then she slid over to him clumsily, "Hey, I liked 'em...they seemed...rather funny..." she giggled. Her eyes were wild and she was completely stoned.

"Sorry but they tried to steal my cousin's farm...not funny. This stuff is barely even thier quality..cant be fresh....definitly not gonna me drunk unless maybe...", Aces sighed. He then bought thirty more ciders and drained them in 3.7 seconds. "Well I should get out "hiccup fit" of here be..fore I give myself... a stroke", Aces says finally drunk.

Quillina blinked, "I never knew dat." She looked at him, then she began to stumble her way out. No one was in the bar at this point, and the bartender was just watching them in case they were doing something bad. She looked at him, "So where can I met'cah tomrow?"

Aced stood slowly. "Huh, been a while since I had cider that bad...", he said toward the bartender. "As fer..where we could meet, hows about the lib-liebr- libariu-lib...rary? It seems as good as any...'specially since I don know Canterlot that well". He wobbled a bit then levitated himself toeard the door and into a wall. "You sure you gonna be ok gettin home"?

She nodded, "I'll bah fine." She awkwardly stumbled her way out the door and onto the street. Night had fallen, and lights had gone on to light little patches of eerie light on the streets, "I'm meet'cha There!" she giggled and started her way home, "T-tomorrow at 7!"

"Sure, sounds like a plan", Aces said as he slowly made his way to the nearest hotel, as he had no prior accomadations in place for Canterlot, as he had been planning on leaving Canterlot that day for the next city which would have been Manehatten, but Quillina had convinced him to stay a while.

After receiving a long beration by Luna, a promise not to come back to the castle drunk again, and nearly fooling around with a royal guard, Quillina managed to get to bed after taking some aspirin for the eventual hangover that would undoubtedly occur tomorrow. She moaned and collapsed onto the bed, then completely passed out.

-the next morning-

Just as she had predicted, a total hangover was in effect She moaned her way out of bed and started her daily routine of following Luna.

Aces High fell asleep in his posh hotel room that truly didn't suit his taste. He woke free of a headache or hangover. "Good ole' Apple family..". Once he was fully awake, he headed strait to the library to meet with Quillina. While he waited for her to show up, he read a book on Canterlot's history.

Quillina had to find an excuse to get away from Luna. Upon seeing Luna had a meeting she couldn't go into, she promised to be back as soon as possible and she ran down to the library to meet him. Smiling at him, she dashed into the door, "Sorry I'm lllaaattteeeeee!!!" She slipped on a book as she dashed in and she slid headfirst into a bookcase.

"Tha' couldna' felt good at all. He helped her up with his left hoof and used his magic to place the books back where they belonged. "Late? No biggee. What i'm concerned about is that headlong dash into those books. Couldn't have help your obligatory hangover."

Quillina looked at him with blurry eyes and she slowly flipped herself over, "Hehe...owww..." She rubbed her head and she started to slowly stand up, using her book knoweldge to figure out where they went, "Oh...it was just a little accident. Nothign to worry about...I hope."

Aces High took a seat across from her at a table once she had stood up. "Ya'know, ya' didn't need to charge meh like that. I mean look, ya'all but killed yourself comibg in here, but besides that, how are you today Quillina"? Aces picks up a book on aincient societies and flips through it.

Quillina moaneda nd she looked at him while she usedh er hooves to restack books. Staring him in the eyes, she turned, "Well it was just me being a little overzealous.I just wanted to be here on time so...yeah." She slowly began to move books back into the shelves, until she was finsihed, "I'm fine, you?"

He raised an eyebrow at the time remark. "Well one, you were late anyway...", he jokingly jides. "And two, what's more important...being on time or being concious"? He adjusts his hat so his horn fits just right insde its hole. "Me, i'm fine...jus' fine indeed. He quickly drew something on one of his playing cards tgen hid it away.
