MLP Vinyl Collectible Figures Review

WARNING: My opinion isn't word of Celestia, so don't argue. Thank you!

One thing I like is how the manes and tails aren't brushable. The whole brushable thing is annoying, and it makes the toys look ugly in a sense. Another thing I like is how show accurate they are, except for Rainbow Dash. She has blue on-top of her mane. We all know she doesn't look like that in the show. Also, her cutie mark is on one side, so there's really no flawless angle to look at. Also, I don't like how Derpy's name is I Heart Derpy Head. I understand why they didn't go with Derpy Hooves on the box, but I would understand Ditzy Doo or Muffins. One thing I don't really like however is how they all use the same model, with different pieces. They use the exact same plastic model, put different pieces on it, and then paint it. That makes it seem cheap how they aren't sculpted differently. So, that's all I really have to say.

I for some reason actually think that the blue somehow makes the Dashie figure look a bit more realistic, but that is just my opinion.

I agree with the Derpy comment, but on the figurines bin tag it did say "Derpy" which was cool of Wal-Mart to know, haha. Also Rainbow Dash's miscoloring is a tad annoying, but it is starting to grow on me. My collection at the moment consists only of Rainbow Dash, Derpy, and Applejack. Both RD and Derpy have only one Cutie Mark, but AJ does have two and her hat is also likeable. Hoping to add Vinyl Scratch (DJ Pon-3) soon enough.

Also must say I too like the lack of brushables as it does indeed make them nicer to look at.

I'd agree. The blue in the hair does seem to work rather well. :)

The only reason I'd say the figure isn't "show accurate" is because no matter which way the show spins her, she's got the same color scheme on each side. The vinyl figure obviously can't have this luxury considering it'd look rather dumb if it had the same look on each side. So yeah, they pulled a good move by throwing the blue in her hair. It flows in with the rest of her mane and looks fine.
