"Magic shows arenn't actually my career. I actually run a joke shop in Ponyville where I live. These magic illusion shows are really more of a hobby", he says laughing cheerfully. He pulled out a box of dounuts from his mane and began popping in his mouth, singing a wierd song about donuts as he did.

Emerald Shine realized the night was slipping away. She sat down and she smiled, "Where did that song come from?" She asked, noting his strange tune, "I like it." She giggled out, honestly enjoying it. Even though she couldn't dare get into another relationship, she knew that this stallion was very quirky, and she liked that.

He luaghed for a minute when she asked about his song. "Eh...I just made it up as I went along, haha. Like this..ladidadedolalulumifasolotido". He looked at watch that depicted a cheshire cat smile holding the numbers in disattey. "Heh..it's getting kinda late...im probably gonna find a restaurant...wiuld you wanna come", he asks hopping to his door.

Emerald blinked and her mind was racing. He was offering her to dinner. Was he talking about a date? If it was a date, she couldn't. She couldn't at all. but...if he was just wanting to be casual, maybe she could. Walking up to him, she adjusted her dress and the lights hit her flank again, "I wouldn't mind."

"Great! Allons-y!", he said hopping ouf of the castle to a fancy restaurant and waited fof her catch up after realizing he had basically left her in the dust. He quickly ran back tk her so it wouldn't seem like he had abandoned her at the gala. "Oops, sorry", he said luaghing at his own wierdness.

Emearld actually liked the weirdness. He reminded her of a friend she had. Having someone so high energy by her somehow stimulated her into getting excited herself. She picked her head up and she said in her normal voice, "Oh, it's fine." She giggled, then continued on her way down the street until they arrived at the doors.

"I see a secret entrance", he said trotting through the glass door numerous pieces of shattered glass sprouting from his fur. They were immediatly kicked off of the premises."Um...you okay with a burger joint", he asked pulling the glass out as he pulled out a pogo stick and used to paint a moustache on the restaurant sign.

Emerald cracked a smile and she hadn't even gotten into the resturant before he was kicked out. Secretly, she was happy that he did, because she hated fancy fare. It always left her hungry and didn't taste that good, "I'm fine with wherever." She smiled and trotted towards him.

He put his pogo stick in his unruly mane and began hopping to Fast-Busters, his favorite burger joont in canterlot. He ordrred two of everything for himself and offered to pay for her order as well. He was using a meal voucher given to him by a royal guard which allowed any order at any restaurant.

The mare simply order a simple hay burger and a few hay fries. She loved eating at places like this. Whether there was more or less germs, she didn't care. She looked at the magician and she then kept on the food afte rhe'd paid. She kept eating and smiled. Blinking at his sudden mane, she asked, "What's up?"

He pulled out a comb and straightened his mane, but as soon as he moved the comb, his mane instantly returned to it's chaotic state. "Oh, well..it is what is it, right", he said devouring his food after stalking it like a timberwolf would it's prey. He rwturned the comb into his mane.

She found it fascinating how his mane seemed to be endless, swallowing everything. She giggled when she saw his dilemena and she looked at him, "If I had my hair gel I'd be able to get it to stay down." Smiling, she then leaned back and closed her eyes, trying to think of what to say now.

"Nah..no hair gel for me. J like my mane this way. And I cant imagine my life going on without it. It just wouldn't be the same..I just wouldn't be me, you know", he asked with a smile. He looks at her closed eyes and plays a silent guessing game as to what she was thinking and finally decided it must have been thoughts about dancing cotton candy.

Emerald slowly started to lean backward in her chair as she realized she was actually starting to fall asleep. She was tried from the gala and she knew itw as extremly late. she shook herself awake and looked at him, "Hey...I don't mean to be a burden but...if you wanna keep this meeting up you'll have ot keep me awake."

"Okay! Keep ya awake...challenge accepted!", he yelled blaring his air horn. "Never mind, I give up.We could hang out again tommarow, though ic ya want", he said poking her to make sure she was still awake as if ths air horn incident would let her sleep. Ho hopped up and off his seat waiting for her answer.

The pony jumped in the air at his air horn, then her mind suddenly locked up. Another get together. Another time. A date. No, no not a date. seh coudln't date him. She wwasn't able to. She'd never date any other pony. She'd never. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever! She had to lie, and fast,
"U-Uh sure...."

"Yippee", he yelled hopping to the door a smile three feet wide plastered on his face. "How about at that new place on the corner of Sherbert lane and Tranquil drive around sixish", he asked literally bouncing off of the walls and to the door. "Unless youv'e got a better idea".

Blinking, Emerald had to open her mouth and stammer, "I-I don't live here...." Oh god, this was a dtae. A date. A real live date. Romance. HE watned to date her. Suddenly her eyes dialated and she stood up, "Gotta go, uh, see you! It was nice to meet you, bye!!!!" she tore her dress off and ran, ran as hard as she could out. Out the door. Away from him. Away from potential pain. Away. Away. Running. Tripping on a pony. Into the carriage. Running more. Into her floewr shop in Ponyville. Running........and crying.

Echo falss over laughing hysterically. "Oh yeah..I forgot she doesnt live in Canterlit. She said that already. Silly me", he said bouncing outside not letting the rejection bother him as he haeded to the train station ti take the train homd to his joke shop in Ponyville. "Oh well", he said falling asleep.

Emerald ran a tiny, almost non-descript flower shop in ponyville called Shine's Delight. She had picked hte name on a whim and it stuck after her flowers would shine in the sunlight. Since her cutie mark denoted her to sell flowers, she sold them as she was going to. She was good at it, but there was another flower pony in the town already. Thus, hardly anypony ever visited her.

Echo slid out of bed and went to Sugarcube Corner to have cupcakes and milkshakes for breakfast and prank Pinlie Pie like he did every day. From there hs headed to thd library to bug Twilight fod no good reason, but on his way there he saw a little flower shop that drew him in named Shine's Delight. "Uh...is this place open", he called entering the shop.

The worry of being tired always was around Emerald. She was usually something that was tired. Those two sentences, in any other place, was actually more strange in context than out. Emerald slowlywalked up, not seeing the pony at first, "Hello, I'm Emerald, and our flowers here are hte delight of shining petals!"

Echo just started cracking up when he saw whose shop it was. He didnt mean to but the circumstances were too perfectly coincidental not to. Here was the beutiful mare whom he had just met last night at the gala, and they live only a block away from each other. "Long time no see, Emerald Shine", the familiar luagh in voice.

Emerald froze. Her face set into a complete and utter shock and disbelief. Her body stopped moving and she dropped a flower in mid-hoof. She shook, and she looked as though she'd been utterly punched. In fact, she looked like she'd seen a ghost. she whispered, "E-Echo..." She turned, shaking violently.

"Oooo..... kkkkiiieee-dddooo.... kkiiiieeeee - aaaarr rr..... tttiii.... cccchhhhoooo..... cccckkkk... iiiieeeee", he said slowlyas he backed out of the shop. "You seem a little pani- busy...Ill just go now", he said staring at her in a mix of guilt and worry as he back away into the door."Ow".
