Anti-hero character?

Do you think the show should have an anti-hero character? What kind of anti-hero should he or she be?

We already have Rainbow Dash, Discord, etc.

 

And the Rainbow Rocks trailers imply Sunset Shimmer will be one, too.

Aren't those redeemed bad guys? Because anti-heroes are the characters that can be both heroes and villains whenever they want. Discord is close, but he's definetely not a baddie anymore.

Take for example Deadpool.

an anti-hero is a character that is the protagonist of a story(or at least close to it) that doesnt quite have hero-like qualities.

 

could mean that the character simply doesnt have perfect morals, fights for the "bad guys", acts only for his own sake etc.

The character is basically not the classic "good guy".

 

good examples of anti-heroes would be:

 

Basically all the protagonists of the GTA series

Walter White from Breaking Bad

The main character from God of War

stuff like that.

 

 

there is no such character in FiM.

 

And no, i don´t think such a character would fit into a kid´s cartoon, but then again, i am no writer.

Discord kind of filled that niche, but not really I guess.

We'll see if we ever do get a true antihero sometime, but I wouldn't really bank on it.
