Scootadress 361 September 29, 2014 Share September 29, 2014 I was curious because someone brought it up on youtube when they were talking about the cut scene in the credits of the latest movie. I got kind of interested because they brought up the notion of it being a snip bit from Equestria Academy, which makes more sense than a sequel at this point. (Since they ate already busy with RR and FiM.) I looked and everyone said it was to be extended (the information) on during comic con and that we were sure to get an English release. Does anyone have information of that? SCOOTALOO = Best CMC PINKIE PIE=Best Pony LUNA=Best Princess
Wulfgar Von Heltzer 42 September 29, 2014 Share September 29, 2014 I'm personally hoping it was abandoned. Whether or not it would be a good show (which I'm almost certain it wouldn't) I think it would drag too much attention from the animators and writers of FIM and the quality of the the FIM would suffer as a result. Ideas that would've been made into FIM episodes instead being put into Equestria Academy. Both shows would be weakened by a lack of creativity. Let's face it, despite the difference in setting, neither EQG's nor FIM are very different from each other, in terms of theme, mood, etc. It's not like EQG is Lord of the Rings to FIM's Spongebob squarepants, or Dexter in comparison to Star Wars. They would both be the same type of show basically: light-hearted, slice of life, "comedy", family friendly, with occasional bits of seriousness and action here and there. What can an EQG's tv show do that FIM can't and hasn't already done? It'd basically be FIM without any of the fantasy elements (considering the lack of magic in the human world unless they want to change that) and a high school setting. Hence my problem. Equestria Academy thus has zero reason to exist, it would just, if anything, weaken FIM, a show that's already running out of ideas and doesn't need more creativity sapped from it.
