Poetic Justice 170 October 9, 2014 Share October 9, 2014 Hello, Everypony. So, I am trying to get better at digital art. I figure the first step is gathering resource pictures and references. All of you artists out there, if you could send me some of the pictures you think will really help out, I will really appreciate it.The reason I am asking you guys and not looking out to find it on my own is because I have tried looking for it through Deviantart and Tumblr, and came up pretty short-handed. So I figured I should just ask those who actually do art first-hand.
Veritum 257 October 9, 2014 Share October 9, 2014 Well what I did to get started was essentially find a cool picture I liked and tried to recreate it. For instance, one of my earlier practices was rainbow dash in a sort of flying position. Honestly, all you need to do to practice is try as many different poses as you can. Your goal is to nail down the 'anatomy' of whatever you're drawing. Ponies, for instance, can be easy in some poses, but it takes practice to learn how to fabricate those poses. To fully be capable of doing so you have to learn how each part moves, etc., generally by just practicing with different poses. Hope this helped a bit Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.
Haruhi-chan 486 October 9, 2014 Share October 9, 2014 (edited) If you have an iPhone or iPad (I think they're still working on an app version for android), you could try PaigeeWorld. There's a lot of digital art tutorials there that you can practice with. I'm not sure if this helps. You can also try looking on the website too, but I don't think the tutorials are up for PC users.
