Persona22 205 October 14, 2014 Share October 14, 2014 (edited) I don't have Synesthesia, but I do know what it is. Does anyone around here have Synesthesia? More specifically sound-to-sight synesthesia, and wouldn't mind being asked some questions? I have a question regarding the ponies' voices and their respective colors... Visual Spectrum 1,932 October 14, 2014 Share October 14, 2014 You said more specifically sight to sound, so I have to say, I don't have that. I have sight to smell. More specifically, certain colors have certain scents. For example, red smells like roast, and purple smells kind of like a lotion of some sort, but I can't figure out the fragrance. It isn't for all colors, though. I don't see sounds, though. 1 Applejack Fan Club
#1FluttershyFan 206 October 23, 2014 Share October 23, 2014 I don't have synesthesia myself but I was wondering if you've ever read "A mango shaped space" by wendy mass. It's an incredible book and synesthesia is a topic in the story since the main character has sound to sight. I was just wondering if you wanted to read it if you haven't because the topic began to interest me after I read the book. I really recommend it - "Um... I was just wondering if it's okay if I hold you down against your will for a little bit?" Fluttershy is Best Pony!

(Like, does Twilight's voice sound purple, Pinkie Pie's voice sound pink, etc.) But then again... What does Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Applejack smell like (color wise, that is) Does Applejack smell like apples? Visual Spectrum 1,932 November 2, 2014 Share November 2, 2014 The scents aren't usually describable. White (Rarity): You know that feeling in your nose when you smell mint? It has that feeling, but the scent is very weak. A very weak mint is best I could do to describe it. Orange (Applejack): Does not smell like apples. It has some sort of a butter smell actually. Yellow (Fluttershy): I can't tell. Pink (Pinkie Pie): cotton candy. (go figure.) Purple (twilight): Already mentioned. Blue (Rainbow Dash): I can't tell either. 1 Applejack Fan Club

I know that it is very hard for people with Synesthesia to describe what something is like. (Like, something has a "color" that does not exists, or something of that nature, for example), so I really appreciate your time. Which brings me to this follow up question (answer it if possible, if not, that's okay): Does Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy smell like something that is not really possible for you to describe it? (Like a smell that doesn't exists?) Also, Pinkie Pie smells like Cotton Candy? That's just priceless! Edited November 2, 2014 by lucasliso
