FlitterFlutter 1,583 December 9, 2014 Share December 9, 2014 Hey, so I have a quick suggestion regarding the warning points and mod desputes. I feel like if you are given warning points. and they are successfully desputed then they should not show up when you click on your warning points. sorry if this makes no sience i am having a hard time explaning it. Hey, flitterflutter. Thanks for your suggestion! However, this can't be done for a few reasons: 1) To keep record. Even overturned warnings can be helpful for future reference. It lets us know exactly what was reversed, and why. 2) Technical limitations. There's no simple way to remove warnings without a manual database query (something that should be avoided if possible). Ideally, reversed warnings should be rendered invisible to the member so that only staff can see it. Unfortunately, reality doesn't allow for this. It sucks, I know. Who wants to see that ugly stain on your record, especially if it wasn't deserved? The good news is that, when we inevitably upgrade our forum software, the warnings issue should be resolved.
Creamy Arty 6,252 December 9, 2014 Share December 9, 2014 Aquila was spot-on, but to add to that, it's a good practice for the administration to issue another warning to somebody that will contain an explanation of what happened if they successfully dispute something, just so there's a clear indication to the rest of the team that a disputed warning was actually overturned. This has been done many times before. 1 Kyoshi made this ^^ Come join us on Equestria.tv on Fridays at 6 PM Eastern for our weekly movie nights!
