"And as for I," Tyra grinned proudly, taking a deep breath, "I am a warrior from the village of Trotstheim in the Frozen North! I travel around the land as a sellsword, and I was told this island holds many fortunes to find, and monsters to fight!"

She looked ahead at the giant, smirking at its body. "And I was not misled, by what's happened today!" She did wonder if the giant laying in the lake would be problematic for the Kelpie. Despite her trying to eat them before, they had saved her life, so maybe her attitude had changed.

"Perhaps, if you wish, you may accompany us!" She smiled widely, offering a welcoming hoof.

Nymphaea looked back and forth between the two ponies, ignoring the mare's hoof as her gaze finally settled upon the stallion.

"Treasure..." she repeated to herself, wondering if she had understood him correctly. A look of quizzical realization crossed her face as she too a step towards the armored knight. "You seek the Drage Slottet?" she inquired, still disbelieving..

"Drage Slot-what?"  Chronos said. He did not understand what she said "But if that is where the treasure is, then yes that is what I am seeking." Chronos said. He was not seeking treasure to increase his wealth but to increase his position and to regain his honor. If he brought the treasure to the princesses, who knows he could probably become a general, or even better on of Celestia's or Luna's bodyguards. He smiled at the thought of it

Tyra pouted as the Kelpie ignored her hoof, allowing it to fall limp on the ground. She watched inquisitively as she spoke with Chronos.

"What is a...drag slotter?" She mumbled, cocking her head like a confused dog. "It sounds like a very peculiar treasure..."

Though, if the treasure was worth bits, maybe she could sell it for a lot of bits. Great cider and great meals galore!

Speaking of cider, she still had some of Chronos' left over. Pulling it from her tunic, she had an idea; back home, it was a sign of friendship to offer a drink to another. Perhaps this creature shared that tradition.

She held it out to her, hoping she might finally be accepted.

Nymphaea regarded the mare.with confusion. Briefly she seemed to consider accepting the bottle, however she quickly wrinkled her nose in disgust and pushed the cider away with a hoof. The hard expression returned to her face.

"The treasure is far, you will not make it" the kelpie said matter-of-factly. "I will lead, but I require en tjeneste... Compensation."

"What do you want..." Chronos asked, He would give almost anything. Getting was the treasure for them only way to prove to the princesses that he was still loyal to them. He then looked at Tyra and then back to the kelpie. He thought 'if this kelpie betrays us, I'm going to turn her habitat into a desert'

Tyra puffed out her cheeks, upset she'd been denied again, and decided to down the rest of the cider herself while listening to Chronos and the Kelpie talked business.

As soon as Chronos asked "What do you want...?" She let out a loud belch away from them and wiped her mouth with a forehead.

"Aahh, a pleasant beverage, thank you!" She grinned at Chronos, then at the Kelpie, "What shall you ask of us for your help?"

The kelpie shifted uncomfortably as she struggled with the foreign language.

"Away" the kelpie started slowly, pausing a moment before continuing on, "off this island, to the land of ponies. There is naught here; no life, no food. Too long I've lived in this place, watched cultures rise and fall. It is sickening. When you leave I want to go, take me away."

Chronos looked at Tyra "no problem" He then looked at the Kelpie. He thought for a second and took a deep breath "Fine... but if we do, then no killing off ponies, I'm sure there will be plenty of other creatures for you to feast on that will satisfy your needs..." He said before saying something quieter "the population in the Everfree needs dropping anyway." He then returned to his normal volume "So... do we have a deal?" He asks, holding out his hoof to the Kelpie.

"Aah, so you do wish to travel with us!" Tyra cried joyfully, hopping onto her hooves, "I knew you'd warm up to us!"

She leapt to the Kelpie and, true to her over-affectionate nature and lack of personal space, gave her a tight hug.

Noticing Chronos holding out his hoof, as well as herself receiving a pair of unamused faces, she gave an awkward chuckle and quickly let go, returning to her sitting position.

Nymphaea hissed at the unwarranted physical contact, squirming futilely in the mare's tight embrace until she was released. Momentarily she wondered if she would have been better off killing the mare when she had the chance, she quickly abandoned the notion however, after all these two were her ticket off the dreadful island. Taking a quick second to recover and gather her thoughts, the kelpie shifted her attention to the stallion, a serious expression on her face.

"I will not seek out your kind for food" she agreed hesitantly, 'I cannot promise the safety of those foolish enough to cross my path however' she added mentally, deciding it was probably better to keep the loophole to her self. "Follow, your treasure is this way" Nymphaea spoke with a gesturing of her hooves.

The kelpie rolled in the shallows of the small lake to wet her skin, there was a lot of walking in her future and no certainty when the next time she would be able to enter the water would be. Silently she took her place at the lead of the small group, guiding her companions back into the dense forest.

"Stay near" she warned, "listen for draug."

Tyra held a hoof to her chin in thought for a brief moment.

"Now that you mention it, a lot of ponies tell me that," she nodded slowly, "every single pony I've ever met, actually." She cocked an eyebrow.

Tyra looked more like a young foal walking with the strongly-built Chronos. A young foal with a nasty axe and a boisterous fight-happy attitude.

"I hope some mindless creatures are desperate enough to try attacking us," she snickered, smirking and narrowing her eyes at the trees along the path, "I will slay each one single-hoofed!"

"Yeah, that was a stupid idea" I hadn't thought it out... Jump, shoot, kill things... Yeah not the best plan. "At least they're dead... Whatever they are. Thanks for the spell" That felt a lot better.

"Or just don't grab any artifacts" I said just as I got out my sketch book. With that I got up and shook out my leg a bit before walking into the building, with caution at least. Nothing. Good. Now to check for anything of value. And nothing of value either. The entire place as empty and only light by sunlight spewing in from the four doors in the center of each wall. There was a hole in the ceiling too where a ladder must have gone.

Nothing. Ugh... I was about to leave before I saw something shine in a dark corner. I slowly approached it. It was a clear orb like something out of a mystic's shop. I grabbed it not knowing if it was truly worth something but anything from an unknown civilization will get a buyer.

I took a little less then two minutes. It wasn't very big anyway and it was all one room. I'd probably have checked more but my musket shot may have attracted something so we needed to move.

"What do you want to do with creepy here?" I looked down at the thing as it tried to nip at me. Not very bright.

"Husks will not be a problem, but... if the other creature on this island are anything like that giant then it would be best to avoid them at all costs. I would rather not being his by a giant again." Chronos said as he looked at his chest plate which was dented and his once clean fine armor was now dented and damaged. "I look like I just fought a legion of griffons" He said to himself, he would have to get the dents out when they had the chance to stop. He would also need to sharpen his sword, it was launched into a tree which chipped the blade and made it dull on one side, it could still cut but not as well as he would like. He sighed and looked at his surcoat, which was soaking wet, "I feel like I disgraced this banner" He said to himself as he took off his surcoat and began trying to ring it out as they walked. He then put it back on, covering his chestplate and flank armor. The sun on it was all wrinkled and the sky blue cloth was now faded. He sighed again.

"I would love to battle another giant," Tyra giggled, grinning ear to ear from the exciting thought of fighting such a creature again, then took a look at Chronos' armour and added matter-of-factly, "I would say you look more like you just fought a minotaur, hand-to-hoof."

She then added with a grin, "A warrior should not be ashamed by the notches in their blade or the dents in their armour. They show experience and resilience in battle! Nymphaea trudged forward through the dinghy forest, trying her best to ignore the chattering of her company. From what she had gathered with her limited vocabulary, the stallion was a knight named Chronos and the mare, Tyra, was some sort of mercenary from a land known as Trottsheim. In the back of her mind the kelpie regrettingly wished for some form of distraction to take her mind off her noisy companions; in a place such this a distraction should have been the last thing she was hoping for, one could never no what was going to jump out from around the next tree.

"That's a good question there."

What exactly were we going to do with this thing? I don't see the point in dragging it along with us, I think it'll just get free at some point and try and murder us. Leaving it here will probably just cause more problems for anyone else wondering through these parts.... Actually come to think of it would anyone even miss something like this? It looks like it's suffering, like it's diseased or something. I took aim with my crossbow and stood a reasonable distance back, as much as I hated doing this it had to be done. I put a bolt through it's head, quick and clean. Once I made sure it was truly dead I pulled the bolt out, luckily even with how close I shot it, it was still usable. I wiped it off with a cloth and put it back into my quiver.

"Well that takes care of that I suppose, now what?" Hopefully Atlas didn't think I was some heartless killer, actually before today I don't think I've ever shot to kill. Even when I was in the guards, i shuttered a little at the thought, especially when I was in the guard. I turned towards Atlas and tried to change the subject as quickly as possible.

"Oh you find anything in there by the way?" I tried to sound non-nonchalant, well as much as you could after straight up murdering something.

"It may but it is quite costly to repair, I may one of Equestria's highest ranking nobles but my wallet is not bottomless. Also a dent can cause the spaces between the plates to increase, Also the duller the blade, the more times you must strike for it to kill an enemy. " He said to Tyra. "Also how am I suppose to keep up the knight in shining armor look without Shining armor" Chronos joked, he chuckled. He didn't really like the 'knight in shining armor' stereotype so he used it as a joke or insult to knights who were either acted like snobs or were rookies. He looked forward and heard something in the bushes to the right "Stop..." He said as he readied his sword and shield. He walked over to the bushes and stabbed the bush, when he pulled out his blade, it had blood on it. A Husk stood up from the bush, a wound in it's shoulder. It was heavily armored and holding a spear that was old and withered, it was the husk of a Drakinn. The creature's eyes were reptile like and it bared sharp teeth The creature looked like a hybrid of dragon and pony it did not have a mane but long spines. It pointed it's spear at Chronos and gave out a hissing sound. Chronos' strike barely made a small cut in the scales of the Creature.

Nymphaea watched the battle progress with a expression somewhere between indifference and curiosity in seeing if the two ponies could hold their own against the powerful draug. Most of the island's undead were minor nuisances for any adventurer with a heavy stick to keep them at bay, the heavily defended Drakinn however were not to be taken so lightly. Thankfully, none of the restless liches seemed to pay any mind to the kelpie, usually ignoring the water spirit and continuing on about their afterlives.
