The drakinn knocked Tyra away with the butt of it's spear. It Charged towards Chronos. "I hate spears..." Chronos said before lifting his shield. The spear stabbed into Chronos' Shield and almost knocked Chronos off balance. Chronos dropped his shield and began using his sword for what it was, a longsword. He chopped down on the neck of the Drakinn, Chronos' dull blade barely cut through the scales of the creature. It turned and dropped the spear. The creature bared it's teeth and Chronos pulled the blade out of it's neck. Chronos flipped his blade over and slammed the hilt into the creature's head. The Creature growled and jumped on Chronos, knocking him to the ground. Chronos was on the ground, The creature stood on top of him about to bit him. Chronos put his foreleg up to block the bite and the creature bit it, trying to break through the steel plate. Chronos was trying to push the creature away with his other hoof. He was able to kick it off and grab his blade but the creature got back to it's feet and targeted Tyra, it was growling before noticing the Kelpie out of water, and thinking it was another husk, so it licked it's teeth and saw it as an easy kill but then it looked at Chronos and Tyra. Chronos had gotten his shield back and got ready to defend. The creature turned to them ready to attack.

Tyra took the spear right under the chin, knocking the axe out of her mouth and sliding it across the path. She skidded backward on her hooves and grabbed her weapon, taking a look around her as Chronos held the drakinn off. The trees, while eerie and mossed, definitely looked climbable. She noticed a branch hanging just over the creature, and nodded as a plan began to shape.

Just like catching a snow wolf, she thought, a smirk returning onto her face.

With the drakinn still distracted, she dashed over to the tree next to it and began slowly climbing up. An awkward action given the sizeable axe in her mouth, but doable.

Once up, she stalked onto the branch and watched as Chronos took up his shield, ready to defend a potential attack.

She leapt down, legs spread out in a starfish position, and latched onto the drakinn's back, swinging her axe to embed the blade into its side. Hopefully the bleed-out, amplified by its trying to shake her off, would take it down.

But for good measure, she put her hard-headedness to use and landed a couple of headbutts on its skull.

The kelpie couldn't help but slightly admire the two ponies styles and techniques in battle. The stallion at first glance fought just like every other knight she had come across; lunging, parrying, and countering the target as if it were choreography. Despite this, Nymphaea could sense the intelligence behind each strike, the noble was actively studying his foe, learning it's tendencies and weaknesses as he went. The mare was a surprisingly creative fighter, clearly adept at using the situation and environment to her advantage. She lacked the stallion's sharp wit and precision, however it was made up for in raw experience, adaptability, and lack of caution. Nymphaea had to admit that there was talent between the two of them, however only time would tell if that would be enough.

Chronos picked up the spear and while the husk kicked and tried to shake off Tyra. Chronos stabbed the creature in the mouth. He twisted the blade and pulling the spear out of the creature. The Drakinn fell down, dead. Chronos stabbed the spear into the ground and sheathed his sword. He looked down at the creature and looked at Tyra "Now do you see the importants of a freshly sharpened blade, It would have been dead in the first strike to it's neck if my blade was sharpened. " He said before pulling out that pencil and paper again and wrote:

Dragon Pony Husk

Thick Scales

 Sharp Teeth

used weapons, spears, possibly more

Have armor, bronze, plate

weaknesses: Mouth

He then added to the kelpie list he wrote

They are eaten by Giants

not social, aggressive

sharp teeth

bad at personal hygiene

Weaknesses: Fire, Lack of water

He put away the paper and pencil and looked at the Kelpie "Thanks for the help..." He said sarcastically.

(the 'bad at personal hygiene' is because all the moss you said was in Nymphaea mane and tail)

Tyra hopped off the drakinn and pried her axe out from its side. A little blood from the gash sprayed onto her face, making her look like she'd patted a ketchup bottle too hard and received recoil.

"Are those my thanks for saving your life?" She snorted indignantly, attaching the weapon to her back. "You were only able to deliver that blow once I'd worn it down!"

((It's not inaccurate, she's pretty nasty))

Nymphaea frowned at the stallion's sarcasm.

"I do not fight on land, my interference ends in deaths" she said defensively "not mine". Without waiting for a response she turned to regard the mare. "The killing blow eats the spoils" she said with a pointed glare, "we have far yet to travel, do not be petty". With a quick jerk of her head the kelpie directed the adventurers back onto the invisible trail. She hoped to near the edge of the forest before the ponies would inevitably need to bed down.

"You would have been impaled if I wouldn't have disarmed it." He said before looking at the Drakinn. "Give me a second..." He began to examine the armor of the drakinn's corpse so that he could know what he would have to deal with if they had to fight another one. The armor had cloth instead of chainmail and bronze plates instead of steel plates. The armor had strange symbols on it. Strangely the armor was not decayed or degraded, it looked new which meant that it was actually pretty well made, even for something so primitive.

(Hanging around in water all day and she still got mad stank)

Tyra met the Kelpie's glare and scowled back, lowering her ears and letting out another indignant snort. The wings on her helmet seemed to drop along with her mood.

Not even a thank-you for her assistance? Obviously this 'royal guard' had quite a lot of pride. The Kelpie's reason for not fighting was understandable, but still she could at least be grateful that she helped bring the monster down.

Glaring aside at Chronos as he inspected the Drakinn's armour, she stomped after her guide, mumbling something under her breath about taking down the next beast herself.

(calling him a guard is an insult to him, he sees the guards as cowards who are more there to look threatening then to actually fight... because guards can't fight. Also sorry for breaking the turn thing)

He was able to fine a pocket and take out a small old coin made out of pure silver "Now what is this?" The coin had a dragon on one side and what seemed to be another drakinn. "This must have be their ruler" He said not knowing the Drakinn civilization use to be a republic. Chronos went and caught up with them and looked at Tyra, who he kindly offered her the pure silver coin which had a diameter of about two inches and was about 1 mm thick, kind of as a silent apology as he could clearly see she was not happy.

Tyra glanced up at Chronos, then at the coin presented to her. She took it in her hoof as she walked, inspecting it. She sniffed at it first, then gently bit down on it. The coin was indeed real, albeit strange and probably worthless to her, though it would make a nice souvenir. She wondered if this how Chronos shows apology, or gratitude.

She put the coin away in her tunic, and softened her expression up at the stallion. "Thank you. You may count this as my payment for assisting with that beast." She added with a joking smirk. The wings on her helmet perked back up, just like she herself had.

Nymphaea winced slightly at the sight of the silver, tensing up as though the coin could catch fire and fly into her face at any moment, only letting her guard down and resuming her normal pace when the horrid metal was safely out of her sight.

(well first I would have to make sure it is okay with the others who are not in the group, also, I always have something planned.)

Chronos  saw the wings on Tyra's helmet perk up. Which confused him slightly. He looked forward and said "Lets hope we don't run into anything else that will slow us down" He unsheathed his sword and pulled out a whet stone. He sharpened his blade as he walked. If he had to he would loot the weapons of the husks as they went allowing him to have a good weapon when he needed one.

(Oh yeah remember how I talked about that marsh, well it is about 7 miles in front of them. So Tyra and Chronos will get an answer to why Nymphaea is so... unclean.)

"Speak for yourself, I can't wait for the next fight," she growled playfully, throwing a toothy grin up at Chronos as he sharpened his blade, "I shall take it down single-hoofed, should you need more time to prepare yourself!"

Nymphaea could feel the air around her become thick and humid as the group continued forward. The ground softened beneath her hooves as it transitioned from compacted earth into a spongy mixture of humus and peat moss. The kelpie knew the bog well, after all it had served as her home for a good part of her life. Ducking low to avoid a tangled mass of vines and hanging moss, Nymphaea looked around the familiar swamp.

"Watch your hooves and stay close behind. Do not touch the hengemyr" she said warningly.

He said knowing that if the ground got any softer, he would probably begin to sink. His hooves sunk into the muddy ground slightly. He lifted his right foreleg and shook off some mud.

Tyra curiously pawed at the softer earth, being no stranger to getting mud on her hooves. She looked around at the dank marshland, feeling a sense of wonder. She'd travelled through some marshes before, and always expected some kind of beast to lunge out of the water and attempt to fight her.

This time was no different, as she kept taking anticipating glances to the murky waters. "A swamp, this shall prove to be interesting!"

Taking a quick look at the Kelpie ahead, she called ahead to her, "Are you from these parts, friend? You certainly blend in perfectly! ...and, what is a hang-gamer?"

Nymphaea said nothing and simply nodded at the Tyra's question. Silently she noted the knight's trouble walking over the soft ground, he would be fine so long as remembered her warning and kept himself out of the hengemyr. Soon the path dropped away on each side, leaving only a thin landbridge that bisected a large slough. The murky water was thick with muck and completely opaque, every once in a while there was a small splash or boil that indicated that there was something moving under the surface.

"Don't touch the water, lest you disturb the grindylows" she said as she began to walk across the narrow isthmus.

(After looking up what a  grindylow is... holy crap.)

"What is a grindylow?"  He said as he tried to walk across the land bridge. Because it was so close to the water, it was much more soft and mud like. He began to sink even more, so walking became difficult. The mud would rise to almost half way between his hooves and his knees if he kept them down for too long. He saw the bubbles and said "Is a grindylow what your species call yourselves?" He said to the Kelpie, thinking that those bubbles were from kelpies.

Tyra, however, felt no fear as she practically stomped through the deep mud on the small bridge, sending mud splashing this way and that.

"I believe I've heard the name somewhere," she nodded, tilting her head in thought, "though, only in folk stories and legends. I've never thought to ask what they were."

She did indeed spot the bubbles in the water, and her heart fluttered at the thought of something coming up to battle her, like an alligator or something!

"They are but minor water spirits, incomparable to myself" she said indignantly. "Ignore them, they won't notice you on land" the kelpie continued as she began walking again. Tyra brought up the rear, hopping off the land bridge and shaking off some of the muck on her hooves. She was the messiest of the three by far, thanks to her splashing around. She didn't bother shaking off any mud, figuring she could wash it off in this upcoming river, according to the kelpie.

As she approached said water pony, she regarded her again. "So if you lived here, why move to the lake? It seems peaceful enough around here," she added with a twinge of disappointment. No swamp alligators for her today, it seemed.
