AstroNova 133 January 16, 2015 Share January 16, 2015 (edited) So I've been reading Fallout: Equestria for the past couple weeks, and I can say it's a really great story. Awesome characters, neat tie-in with both the Fallout and MLP universes. And since I've played both Fallout 3 and Half Life 2, and watched MLP, all of those transform the story in my head to something I really wish I could recreate, but sadly, my drawing skills, or 3D skills are not good enough to do so. The story is extremely gripping, and well put. The way the writer described the scenes in great detail did make me feel like I was in a post-apocalyptic world, where everything was destroyed. I also liked the way she blended the two worlds together. And I can't wait to finish Project: Horizons. However, I've heard there are elements in that one I try to stray from. Maybe skip a chapter or two if there is SOME of that in Project: Horizons. However, in the original story, by Kkat, there is none of that, at least so far. Anyways, what is your guy's opinion? I really love the characters, and one in particular, which is hidden by the spoiler below if you want to know it. Spoiler And well...maybe I have a little bit of a crush on Littlepip. Well...no....errm...little...more like...a lot, perhaps? I can't help it. She's just so freaking adorable!! Just look at her. Heart melting anyone? Also, I am REALLY sorry about not being on for about 6-8 months. I got sidetracked, as always by school and other things. I'll try to be on more often. Also, failed spoiler...this is embarrassing. qq Edited January 16, 2015 by lazyfireball7889 Credit to *Nova* for the awesome signature!
AstroNova 133 March 25, 2015 Author Share March 25, 2015 Also, I do like Velvet and Blackjack as well. Fallout: Equestria is a good story. (This was basically a bump, as I want your guy's opinion.) Sintanan 151 March 25, 2015 Share March 25, 2015 I question what this SOME element is you speak of. If it's sex, well Project Horizons has it in spades, what with the main characters being escapees from what amount to a vault all about rape and sex slavery, so PH pulls no punches there. However, FO:E isn't immune with Pip's fantasies, Homage, and the infamous chapter 22.5. If it's gore or vulgarity well you're in for a sorry time with either story. The Hoofington Crater in PH is the Wasteland from FO:E turned up to 11. It is not sunshine and rainbows. It is not even as nice as the wastes in FO:E. You will be in for a rough time if you go in expecting much of the same. Additionally, the story suffers from being too long for its own good - there's just too many elements and subplots that are covered and unraveled throughout the story that it feels inconsistent and disconnected. However, for all it's faults I do have to recommend Project Horizons. It has a cast of wonderful characters, from the blessed to the base. It has an interesting overarching plot element in the form of Hoofington Core. And Blackjack is ultimately a fun (if whiny... oh so whiny) mare to follow through the fucked up wasteland of post-apocalyptia Equestria. For anyone wanting to make use of my character in their roleplaying, <a href='http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/synth-tannin-r8033'class='bbc_url' title=''>here</a> is his info.
