Best Convention Experience?

Im not sure if this is already an existing thread so I apologize But I would love to hear about some of your best convention experiences, because convention experience! It can be an experience from any convention not just a pony convention!

Well, since I've only been to one convention so far in my life, (I am going to another one this summer) I think my very best experience may have been hanging out with this group of Attack On Titan cosplayers. (I was cosplaying Mikasa) It was really fun and they were super cool.

The only convention I've been to is BronyCon, and I've been to that one three times (2012, 2013, and 2014). Saying which of these was the best is rather difficult. Ruling out 2014 is easy enough to do, tbh. Felt too hectic. Choosing between 2012 and 2013 is where things get tricky.

 

In 2012, I went to BronyCon as a completely different person. At that time I went alone, didn't know anybody who was going to be there, and didn't even sign up on this forum until a week later. It was also my first convention. Back then, I was a very insecure and uncertain person, socially awkward, etc. Attending BronyCon in 2012 turned all of that around and is what led me to this forum, and made my life much better for the confidence and social skills the convention gave me as well as the friends I would later make here.

 

In 2013, I had plenty of friends from here who I was going to meet, and meet them I did. That was an indescribable experience for me and strengthened the bonds I already had, helping also to create some new friendships. This was another life-altering experience for me.

 

 

All things considered, I think I'm going to give it to BronyCon 2012, if only for the wonder of discovery and embarking on a glorious new journey that would lead to the friendships I have now. There was a greater sense of novelty, I suppose.

I went to my very first anime convention, SacAnime Winter 2010, when I was 12 and I met my former favorite voice actor for the first time.

I officially became a brony at a convention, Animation on Display 2012. I bought my first MLP toys and went to Jayson Thiessen's panel. The fandom welcomed me with open arms    I went to the MLP panel at Animation on Display 2013 and it was the most fun I have ever had! No other panel I have ever been to has never been like this one.

I went to my very first pony convention, EquestriaLA 2013. It was one of my longest in-car trips and the furthest convention I have ever been to. I also went to BABSCon in 2014 and participated in my very first cosplay contest. I met the entire main cast of the show at both cons.
