You might like this, Commissar. Your utopia reminds me of the reference in this story:

I can understand the appeal if this is what you mean.

What would Equestria do if they are invaded by an foreign nation? How such a peaceful society defend themselves?

Think of it like pushing over an older person. Would you do it, just because you could? What invading force would want to attack a peaceful nation, it'd make them look like jerks. Besides, there is a military. All the royal guard, the magic abilities, Wonderbolts are basically the air force... And a bunch of other things. :3

There's magic. Who knows its limits? Also, Equestrian has successfully defended itself numerous times sometimes through traditional means, sometimes through non-violence and understanding. I feel it could probably stand up for itself better than what we would think.

Equestria's perfectly capable of defending themselves. Despite seeming otherwise because they happen to be in a time of peace at the moment, there's been quite a lot of wars battles, and hardships going on throughout this world's history, and I don't think it's been long enough that they've forgotten about it. At the very least, Celestia and Luna have been through enough skirmishes to be considered battle- savvy by now.

What is the reason for most wars? Resources.

The changelings attacked because they needed love.

Their military....just rewatch the canterlot wedding.  The wonderbolts are more of a parade unit.

They rely pretty much six young mares for their defense. I read the comics, canterlot was nearly gone.

Depends against who....

Isn't that kinda contradictory against the perfect pony land view? If they had wars too, then why should be morally suprior to us? Just because they are 'currently' at peace? Well, my country is currently in peace too.

I think you all still forgot the horrifying things that lurk in their wolrd. It seems to be all beatiful and lovely but so are roses too...

Earth relies on the Justice League or the Avengers too. The Mane Six are no different. You know me, I've largely been on your side in this debate that Equestria is not some flawless utopia. However, that doesn't mean I believe it to be weak or easily conquered.

As above, it has beaten back several threats already thanks to the Mane Six and their fight with Spike shows the Wonderbolts are at least capable of fighting and doing some damage. (It's just that they were fighting a dragon and it was beauty that "killed" the beast that day.)

That assumes that I was ever under the impression that Equestria was ever a sparkling utopia. Quite frankly, its ability to erupt into violence and disorder at the drop of a hat is legendary, and a little disturbing. It's honestly a miracle that the pony race has even survived as long as it has, none the less take command and set peace in a world where literally everything wants to eat/conquer/destroy you. That actually sounds familiar...

And I don't think Equestrians are morally superior(If I at some point said that, I recant). When you cross worlds, that doesn't even begin to make sense in its own contexts(every universe has different rules, standards, etc.). You'd have to examine both sides reasons for fighting and come to that conclusion at the moment.

Try that to tell the fandom.

I could say that's mostly because the plot demands it but oh well....

I am the fandom dude, you are too, at least I would hope.

Besides, all stories rely on at least some contrivance.

Slasher movies: "Why doesn't this southern household have a gun in it?"

Time travel movies: "Why can the modern protagonist understand these people when surely they'd be speaking Old English?"

Lord of the Rings: "WHERE ARE THE EAGLES NOW?!"
