Lady Leopardess 393 March 25, 2015 Share March 25, 2015 I've started to see a the new blind bag wave 12 pop up at walmart, to my surprise though (and I just went and checked) It seems like with the exception of the 3 rainbowifed ones they are all ponies from the first wave of blind bags. Has anyone gotten and compared the ones from wave 12 to wave 1? I only buy ones that aren't identical (unless I'm buying the whole box). I know in the past some had color variations or different molds but this doesn't look like the case. Do you think they're going to go through the waves and recycle the ponies? I wouldn't mind if they did the Nighttime series ponies again since I missed that on the first run of it.
Lunia 332 March 29, 2015 Share March 29, 2015 I haven't personally gotten wave 12 to wave 1, but from other sources they're quite the same. The only true differences that could show is either the color may be a bit of a different color tone, other then that they're the same. Signature made by me. intrepidtwilight 120 April 24, 2015 Share April 24, 2015 I don't have wave 1; I started with wave 7 I believe. But from pictures online that I have seen of wave 1, I agree that they look a lot the same. I add this because I opened 3 ponies from wave 12 today and I thought this and shared it with a friend, too. I think, just from the sheer amount of waves there have been and the fact that the molds are so similar, they may not be able to keep up new things about them, other than color, agreed, The glitter ponies were really similar and that was in two waves, I think. Being a huge glitter and blind bag fan, this didn't bother me, but I definitely see the challenges of keeping a toy that small exciting.
