Species: Earth Pony

 

Personality: Disciplined, Trains hard; Aurora finds herself having to make up for her weaknesses and improves upon them. Though she may not look like it, Iron Aurora is bit of an honor based pony, focusing on balanced attacks and fighting stances.

 

Backstory: Iron Aurora is an Earth Pony mare, born in Canterlot to a wealthy family; Aurora trains in the art of the sword and shield. The sword is an inherited blade from her family, the symbol on the hilt represents her family's house. She even enters the local tourneys to prove herself, the captain of the royal guard is even impressed with her ability; but she feels she has way more to learn before she can consider herself a complete swordspony.

 

Her whole family knows that just having the skill isn't enough, you need to constantly train to keep yourself in fighting shape. Iron Aurora does so by training behind her family estate, there is a training area run by magic devices. The sole purpose, is to prepare for anything that she may encounter. 

 

Her father, who she looks up to as a mentor; taught her everything she knows. Always encouraging her to improve, and he has to the point that the captain of the royal guard even offered her a position in the guard itself; but she turns him down. Iron Aurora is a pony who values her family traditions; and to join the royal guard would tarnish that reputation. On several occasions, Aurora has fended off those who wished to harm others.

 

Other: There have been times where she has slipped up and gotten herself hurt, due to this; she pushes herself harder, trying to master each technique in her arsenal. Each mistake teaches her another weakness she must overcome along the way, only stopping to pace herself and then resuming her regiment.

The Family Sword: 

While this sword is a family treasure, its not just given to anypony, it has to be earned, and Iron Aurora has gained that right through harsh training and perseverance. Never giving up her will to fight to protect those she loves and those ponies around her. As to the blade, the type of metal is unknown. 

 

The Family Shield(don't have a pic yet, sorry): The shield Iron Aurora uses is also part of the family legacy and an heirloom, she has it made to be sturdy and durable; but weight is made to suit her. her shield has held up for years, aiding her in those critical moments of danger; but overall; almost indestructible.
