Definitely seems interesting.. and looks pretty cool

 

Though i think the grin is a little too high up and shouldn't reach the ears..

EDIT: Perhaps have the grin go to about half eye height at the most..

 

As for the eyes, perhaps make them more pony-like..

As the thin pupils make you character seem more like a pony/crocodile hybrid or something.. :/

 

But yeah, keep it up.. I'm curious to see how it looks when it's finished
