do people have problems with you being a brony

I don't call myself a brony, but as a fan of the show, I haven't met anyone who's had a problem with my interests. Of course, I don't go around telling people I like the show (unless it comes up, which it really hasn't). My dad is really accepting of it now that I've explained it to him and my mom's been intrigued too. In fact, she's watched a couple of episodes with me. ^^

Most of the people that insult you for watching the show mostly are after your reactions. Why would you spend valuable time typing "bronies are autistic" if you don't want to piss off people? So I say ignore them, it's the best you can do.

This applies for the internet. And I felt like saying that here, sorry if it's very out of place.

No one I know has an actual problem with me watching the show, but if I were to give some advice on it it's just to ignore people who do. There really aren't any arguments for you not to like the show that have actual merit. That said, since you mentioned two concrete groups that have a problem with it, I'll try to address them individually.

First off, parents. Ask them what exactly their problem is with you liking this show and try to talk it out from there. I know that's not much, but it's seriously all I can come up with. I don't know your situation, so I have no idea what your parents are like.

As for school, simply don't tell people you like the show. For those already giving you grief over it, just ignore them. It sounds like stock advice, but it's honestly the best thing to do. Arguing with them will only make them laugh and fuel their bullshit, and using violence should really only be a last resort because of the trouble you'll inevitably end up in. Whatever you do, though, if it's actual bullying you're facing, don't go to a teacher. While there are exceptions, the vast majority of schools choose to hide problems rather than facing them properly, so reporting bullying will usually end up with the offenders getting detention, and afterwards making your life more miserable. Again, ignore them and if there is no other choice (and only then) fight back.

everyone at school knows and as for my parents I asked them and they asked how would you feel if your son was into mlp
