Season 1 vs. season 5 Pony flanks and such?

First I will start off with that I hope we can all talk about this in a mature manner. I hope there will be no off-topic posts. Anywho so at the last Brony Meetup I was at we watched a couple episodes from the earlier seasons winter wrap-up and Wonderbolts Academy. And maybe it was just me noticing this and it really was not there but it seems like in the earlier Seasons there were more shots of the ponies flanks and such versus the later season. Has anyone noticed this? Or am I just seeing things that are not there.

Hmmm... quite the interesting observation I must say. While I don't pay attention to Pony flank screen time, I wouldn't be surprised if this were the case. You have to remember that in Season 1 we were learning about all of the little nuances that make the world of Equestria so special. They probably wanted to emphasize the pony's Cutie Marks more and how all of the different designs make them all so unique.

Yep, that's why season 1 is my favorite season.

 

 Joking aside, I never really noticed that. With the ponies walking on 4 legs, when they face away from the camera, their flanks are gonna get shown. Might it just be those specific episodes you watched? I'm not usually specifically paying attention to that when I'm watching the show, and I've never really noticed a difference in flank shots between seasons. Maybe they weren't sure what to do about it at first, and then got better at not using those kind of shots as much in later seasons?
