Do you think it will be good?

Nah.

Its just that spike episodes have an overwhelming tendency to be bad is all. I like the guy (He was one of the best parts of today's episode), but the writers have a very hard time doing him right in episodes that try to treat him "well" (Like the equestria games with him saving the day at the end). There are some GREAT ones, like I loved power ponies and Inspiration manifestation, but just too many bad ones.

 

 

 

 

Anyways, I'm expecting that the map sends some of the group on a map mission (rarity obligatory), and they get captured by dragons. Spike and twilight find out that Spike can get them free if he wins an event called the dragon gauntlet and becomes a dragon lord, but being a kid dragon, he has no chance: twilight (possibly with starlight's help) does an age spell (mentioned in magic duel) to temporarily turn spike into an adult.

Cue episode of spike clumsily pretending to be an adult dragon and win the gauntlet in order to shill the Guardians of harmony toy of him as an adult.

He'll probably turn back to a kid right at the end for a lesson about "the heart" being the truly important thing when he wins or saves someone else despite being a child.

This, of course, is just what I THINK will happen, and will probably end up being wrong XD

 

 

Anyways, I just see so many ways that it can go wrong is all.

Okay first off, is anyone else thinking about the title to Harry Potter 4?

 

Anyways I have mixed reservations about this episode. I think Spike will be fine in this episode but all the stuff around it looks iffy.

First off, it depends on how they depict the Dragon race. Will they be more fleshed out or will we get another one-note appearance like they had in Dragon Quest or like the Yaks were in Party Pooped.

And secondly, how are the Mane 6 captured? Right now they have two of the most powerful magic users in existence and the dragons just happen to be able to catch them and hold them hostage no problems asked?  Sorry but that's straining credibility too far. Now if's only, say Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Rarity, then yeah that's a lot more believable but then why doesn't Spike call the rest of his friends over to help him out? 

So yeah I'm kind of meh about the episode right now. I'll not looking forward to it but I'm not not looking forward to it either (if that makes any sense)
