Should two on one pony remain in one world indefinitely?

With mirror pool Pinkies still roaming about in Equestria, I feel the need to ask- is it harmful to one AU if one doppleganger choses to permanently reside in different AU, and two or more dopplegangers exist in the same world?

Consequenses were seen in "Reflections", when Sunbutt chose to frquently visit another world for extented periods of time, to see Sombra. The threat of his AU and hers merging together was seen. But for all the other AU's Sunbutt and Sgarswirl visited for shorter periods, apparently, had less chance to merge, with less of their influence imprinting on the other worlds.

 

In Pinkie's case, we have no idea if the mirror pool clone in "Saddle Row & Red" is an isolated incident, has been staying in Equestria without frequenting back and forth through the pool, or if our Pinkie frequently swaps with other clones, with enough time to imprint on the foreign AU's to cause merging.

 

In Sunset Shimmer's case, she's been in human Equestria for 3-4 years now, and human Sunset's whereabouts are unknown. If human Sunny was actually somewhere in pony Equestria, then it's likely balance would still be kept, as there's a Sunset Shimmer in both worlds, rather than two or more in one, and none in another world.

I remember Starswirl in the Reflections arc actually mentioning how that one worlds specific properties were different than the others. So, I don't think worlds merging is normally common. It might have to do with how similar or closely connected the main Equestria and the Reflections world already were.

 

 Maybe other worlds that are a bit farther away, like the Human world, which has a lot of the same ponies/people, but is very culturally, technologically, and biologically different would have less problems. We also don't really know how the Mirror Pool works, if those Pinkie's are from another world or if it's a part of the main Equestria.
