"Wings?"

He looked at his back, and spotted the limbs.

"Oh, dear Celestia! I have wings!"

He looked back at Darts, smiling.

"I'm sorry, I got distracted. What was the question?"

((That gives me an idea for the next challenge, have any of you ever played Amnesia: the dark decent?))

 

Darts facehoofed. "Can you not remember anything?"

midnight looked around, "where are we now?" he then looked to where he thought the others were, only to find a stone wall, "umm, guys?"

"Nope. But judging by how much I'm exited of these new wings, I might have just regenerated, so the memory loss could be a side-effect."

midnight rolled his eyes, "fine, guess ill have to find my way on my own." he followed the hall till it came to a T with 4 directions, two of them boarded up "fine, the only way to go is left...." as he walked into the smallish room, he frowned, a chill was sent through his body, "h-hello?"

as soon as he finished his word the lights blew out, and midnight ran back out into the hall breathing hard, "note to self, dont speak in creepy rooms, lest youll make angry spirits."

The Doctor inspected Darts from head to toe.

"Say, I know you. You're that winderbolt. We've met in the future, I think. Oh, wow I remember something!"

He smiled in glee.

"I remember something terribly important happens to you. Something about the Silence. Something... Something..."

He closed his eyes and poked his head for a moment, before opening them again and staring at him.

"oh, hey! You're that guy from the flying team. You know, I miss being a pe..."

He looked at his back.

"Will ya look at that! Wings!"

"That's it your coming with me!" Darts grabbed the Doctors mane in his teeth and dragged him kicking and screaming after Midnight, he let go of the Doctor's mane when he found an ornate water fountain. "Hey Doctor, can you get your head in gear long enough to figure out what this is?"

midnight moved down the front hallway, past big oak doors, he frowned and looked from his left to his right, he had no understanding of what this place was, a roaring behind him made him jump and take off running, he looked back hoping whatever it was, wasnt chasing him, but when he turned back around, he ran face first into a railing, fell over and hit his head hard enough to knock him out.

The doctor looked worriedly to the fountain and back to Darts repeatedly, like a school filly being asked a trick question.

"...a fountain?"

"I know it's a fountain, what's it doing here? Were in the middle of a freaking cave!"

Without even thinking, the Doctor instinctevly pressed a brick and the fountain split open, revealing a secret passage.

"... Kind of cliché."

"What do you say we check it out Doctor?" Darts said, without waiting for an answer he climbed into the passageway.

"...who are yo--Oh hey, I have wings!"

Darts facehoofed again and pulled the Doctor in after him, the fountain closed up above them and torches lit up a staircase that looked more like something that belonged in a castle rather than at the bottom of a cave.

They walked in silence for a while, the Doctor squeaking in delight now SMS then every time he rediscovered his wings, though it seemed the less they talked, the less he forgot.

"Sooo..." the doctor broke the silence.

"You're that Wonderbolt, right?"

"Was. I felt the others were holding me back. I don't like being told what to do. So I've been flying solo for a while now, I do better that way anyway." Darts paused and coughed awkwardly. "I also may have been kicked out because of my 'attitude'... But what do those other ponies know, right?"

The Doctor was looking the other way.

"Hm."

He turned to him, forcing himself to concentrate so he could remember what they were talking about.

"Do you... Do you have any friends? You know, outside the team?"

Darts smiled cockily, "of course, everyone in Equestria loves me, you would not believe the fan mail! Especially after I broke the records for 4th best flier of the Century and Best Trick Pony!" He paused and frowned sadly, "There was this one other pony, I met her when trying out for the Wonderbolts, she almost beat me too. Sometimes I think she deserved it more." Darts fell silent and kept walking.

"who is this pony?"

Doc asked curiously.

The effect of regeneration seemed to be wearing off.

"Her name was Rainbow Dash. You must have heard of her, Element of Loyalty, Best Young Flyer multiple years in a row, creator of the Sonic Rainboom." Darts smiled, "I may have beaten her in agility and endurance, but in a race she would have me every time!"

"She taught me to fly."

The Doc said, like if they were discussing the weather.

" I mean, she will. When I was a Pegasus."

He turned to Darts.

" So you don't think of her any more than a rival?"

"I don't know any more. I always used to think of her that way, but if I ever meet her again I'd kind of just like to be friends..." Darts looked away from the doctor and pretended to be examining the medieval tapestries. "So where do you think we are now Doctor?"

The Doctor looked around.

"I'd say an old dungeon of sorts. Probably this whole area was caught in the explosion of a Time Rift."

He inspected an old painting depicting a blue unicorn stallion with a wavy white mane and a red overcoat. He was smiling, and sitting on a throne with a crown on his head and holding a sceptre.

"Hey, I'm famous!"
