balancedblujay 34 August 6, 2016 Share August 6, 2016 Note that I wrote this approximately 2 years ago. I just found it in my former Google Drive Two months of long studies, And many essays. We’ve kept our minds working hard, No time off for today. But the quarter’s end is near, And we need to work our best. And even though I love my sleep, This week’s not time to rest. The time has come to work, And turn in all you’ve done, But it’s also time to keep in mind, That it’s not a good idea to run. How will you do? I don’t know, How high of a score will you get? Is it enough for you? How far will the percentage go? Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! Let’s finish our work today! Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! ‘Cause you want an A! ‘Cause you want an A! Bringing home the graded work, A student’s job begins, In studying all the corrections, To let the knowledge flood in. They struggle at first, And they get distracted with ease. When the test day arrives, They’re under pressure to please. Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! Let’s finish our work today! Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! ‘Cause you want an A! Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! ‘Cause you want an A! ‘Cause you want an A! Pencils snap, pens break, Under the firm hand, The student is annoyed by, That problem they can’t understand. Sometimes that’s all their homework, Usually it’s just one class, One often stays up until midnight, Considering their workload mass. Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! Let’s finish our work today! Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! ‘Cause you want an A! Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! ‘Cause you want an A! ‘Cause you want an A! No easy task to see the face, Of an annoyed parent, With decent work and effort, It will grow inherent. So much brain exhaustion, But it’s worth it at the end, When your parents give the clear, To hang out with your boyfriend. Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! Let’s finish our work today! Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! ‘Cause you want an A! Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! ‘Cause you want an A! ‘Cause you want an A! Now that you are sitting down, You must think very hard, And correctly bubble in the sheet, Hopefully it won’t be starred. How will you do without your notes, Help your grade in any way? You wanna pass so you must, Do your best today! Do your best today! Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! Let’s finish our work today! Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! ‘Cause you want an A! Quarter Wrap Up! Quarter Wrap Up! ‘Cause you want an A! ‘Cause you want an A! ‘Cause you want an A!
weesh 690 August 6, 2016 Share August 6, 2016 (edited) very amusing. I'd recommend that when making parody lyrics, pay very close attention to the syllable counts in the original piece, and make sure you nail it in the parody, or else it becomes very challenging to sing. Note that this doesn't necessarily apply if you actually sing the piece, because you can make a new cadence for the syllables, or you can add random syllables within the words, or slur words together to lose them.
