Moonglare: What's it like being a royal guard?

Moonglare: Oh,it's great,really! I can't say being a guard for Princess Luna is the same as being a guard for Princess Celestia,though.

In my oppinion,(As I've known one of Celestia's guards for a long time now) Luna is more of "casual" with us,her guards;and hangs out with us out of work very often;while Celestia focuses more on bussines in regards to her guards. But I can assure both princesses treat their guards with the same respect their guards treat them.

Meteor Blast: You really never heard some similar name? Many pegasus and unicorn stallions also have astral-based names.

I got my Mark at Canterlot,during a school trip;when stopping a thief from escaping the guard. The fun thing is,I didn't even know it was a thief,I was just running around;as I loved running when I was a colt;and at some moment,I just bumped into him,stopping him for a moment and giving the guards the opportunity to reach him. I didn't really have an idea of my destiny at that moment,but as a colt I admired the Royal Guard and wanted to be there someday.

I don't know the Mane Six personally,I've just heard of them by the ponies who saw their feats,or know them personally.
