Should I Go With This Fan Fic Idea?

I'm in another slump again. See, I'm starting to get ideas for a potential crack-fic which I've appropriately named "Generation Gap?" (Yes, the question mark is official) which is about the G3/3.5 doppelgangers of some FIM ponies that take over Ponyville and how the FIM ponies react to their overwhelming presence. It both parodies and makes fun of how bland and overly girly and saccharine G3 is. But I don't know if I should go with it or not. I've never written a full-on comedy before, and I'm afraid that I might screw up on a lot of things. Should I write this, or should I have someone else write it?
