It was early evening and Ysabell was half way through the forest while on her patrol searching for any rogue Immortals. She pats her horse Cloud's mane gently "Easy girl, I know there's a storm, but we can't stop now, it is our duty to deal with any rogue Immortals" she says but sighs as soon as she looks at the sky "Fuck, well come on, let's see if we can find somewhere to take respite" she pulls gently on the reigns and Cloud begins galloping through the forest.

Just when it comes to the time when they begun to feel that they were getting lost and almost losing hope of finding shelter, they come across a small hut "I don't remember this hut" she says softly, gently comforting Cloud before dismounting and gently knocking on the door "Hello, is anybody in? We're lost and need shelter during the storm"

Iva was busy cleaning her small hut around her. While it's not like those fancy huts back in her country, this particular hut was free for anyone. Dust was completely everywhere. On the floors, doors, beds, kitchen, walls, corners and her old fashioned fireplace were wrapped in a blanket of dust and cobwebs. Grabbing her broom by her bed, she started to sweep the flithy room back into position. While she likes keeping things nice and neat, her obsession of cleaning is slowly fading away into darkness.

 

Suddenly a knock could be heard from the door. Iva groaned and rolled her eyes as she continued cleaning. Once the knocking and pleading went on for too much, she dropped her broom on the floor and walked over to her dust-free door. Iva opened the door to see a woman with armor on and a horse besides her. ".. And why should I let you stay? Your flithy animal could ruin the floor that I recently sweeped up!"

Ysabell glares a little "I'll have you know madame, that I take very good care of my horse, and that's not all, I am Ysabell Sivlermane, Lady Knight Commander of the Queen's Riders" she says "I can easily pay for the time here" she says with a smirk, she then spots the armor in the hall way "A fellow knight? Tell me, were you in the Immortal Wars?" she asks as she gntly pats Cloud's mane to calm her Shh, it's okay sweetie ,we'll get shelter one way or another, I promise Veraldane I would take care of you she soothes the horse using her wild magic.

 

she then smirks and didn't realize that the crest of her status of Baronness could be seen, she was usually pretty reserved about it, but as the storm had caught her off guard, she didn't have time to cover it up.

Iva's eyes went small as memories started to flood in. "Immortal Wars?" "Queen's Riders" "Crest of Baronness" Her eyes started to tear up from how much pain she had to suffer during the war. Looking up, she wiped the tears off her face before glaring at them weakly. "F-Fine.. I'm only letting you enter because,you noticed my past occupation as a knight.. Just please don't get the floor dirty and your room is fairly larger than mine. You'll see a door that'll say "For guests". Enter with your horse and.. It should be perfect for you.." She said before sitting down on her own bed with a gentle sigh.

Ysabell could tell the woman was in pain, she shakes her head "If you have a barn or stable, somewhere suitable for Cloud, she will be happy there" she says as Cloud nods her head in agreement and waits patiently. Iva nodded her head and gave her the keys to the barn that was only a 1 minute walk from her house. "Here.. For your horse.." She mumbled as she slowly gave her a hug. "I couldn't handle it.. Seeing my family die.. My fiancé.. My best friend and my very special cousin.. George Rain Cooper. I think he was a nephew to Baron.. A-Anyway.. My.. Family go by the name "Burgeson". All of them died except for me.. I-I.. H-had to run.. A-a-a-a-and.." Iva started sobbing into her shoulder as she let out all the pain she had to suffer from.

Cloud whinnies softly George was a good man, so she must be a good woman she says to her through the magic and begins to nibble on her food before Ysabell goes back to Iva.

Iva looked up at Ysabell and tries to smile but sadly falls. "I.. I know. I just.. I don't want to live anymore. It's just too hard.." Tears started to flow down her cheeks. "W-what am I supposed to do Ysabell? I mean.. I haven't really told you much of my past history but something tells me you want to know what happened to me.. Don't you?" Iva asked before getting up from her bed and walking over to her armor stand. "... It felt like only yesterday I was in training for the Queen's riders. You see.. I was one of her most important guards to ever protect the kingdom from harm. But when the Immortals came.. You know the rest.."

Iva looks down and sighs, hugging her back gently. "Yea.. I suppose you're right but.. Considering that I've ran away just to hide myself from the immortals, I'm scared everyone will call me a coward for not fighting. But.. T-that's their choice, not mine." She replied as she looked over at Ysabell. "S-Sorry for earlier.. I.. Don't really trust people that easily unless you're friends with the Queen or the Cooper Family.. Iva looked at her golden armor and ran a fingertip down the pointy sides. "True, Lady Veraldaine used to flirt with me whenever no one was watch and she taught me her "Golden Secrets". While her Ladyness is very generous to pass her infomation onto her most trusted knight.. I'm afraid she'll get a little too flirty with me and my personal space." She blushed and looked away from Ysabell's eyes. "I-I-I knew it was something that began with C!"

Oh I don't know.. Festival? I don't think I'm going this year.. I'm way too busy with looking after my only pet.. Cat.." Iva sighed before looking towards her sick cat: Mr FluffyCups. "Yea.. I'll go see Cloud.. I mean it's been a while since I last chatted with her.."

Iva nodded her head and kissed Ysabell's cheek. "A little thank you for everything gift~" She giggled before walking out of the house towards the barn. Once she arrived, she saw Cloud waiting for her. Using her Magic, she allowed her voice to be translated into Cloud's national language. Heya old Cloud.. Been a while since we have chatted with one another.. Hasn't it? ... I know you properly hate right now. That's fine.. I hate myself too.."

 

The kitty got up very weakly and wobbled over to Ysabell for affection.

Iva stroked Cloud's mane softly with her hand. Alana and Daine? I thought they were trying to gather clothing, warmth, food and safety for the citizens who lost their homes all because of the storm. Oh well.. At least they're waiting back home for me to come back. Iva felt a tear drop roll down her eye. ... I-I.. Don't want Alana and D-D-Daine to die.. They're like children to me..

Alright alright.. But we need the storm to die down or else we could be ice cubes for years. Anyway.. Don't order me what to do missy! I may be a ex guard of my Lady but I still know a little trick or two so.. Better safe than sorry.. Iva sighed and looked into the disturbing yet so windy sky above her. "... Nice weather for a storm isn't it.. Nah I'm kidding but I'm sure Alana and Daline will be thrilled to bits with seeing my kitten and I again..
