The fox feels back to normal. Gone are the strange, indescribable sensations he felt just a moment ago, replaced with the familiar feeling of water all around him. Wondering, yet not actively attempting to discern, what the strange feelings were or even if such feelings were meant to be comprehended, he swims up to the surface of the water. This water feels subtly different than it had before.

 

When the fox surfaces, he finds out why. This is not the same body of water. Was the shimmering pond he dived into a portal of some sort, then? it must have been. That might explain the incomprehensible feelings he felt when he entered it. But where is he?

 

The fox looks around, trying to discern his current location.

As MidnghitSong dowzed off as usally his mother called to him "Song go catch some fish for dinner!" As Song woke up interupted by his mother. "Ok i'll go down to the shore and catch some" he replied as he got on his hoves.

It seems like there is a distant shoreline, but… different. Even from this distance, he can see that the colors are much more vibrant and this certainly looks like no shoreline he has ever seen! Okay, actually, he has never seen any shorelines before, but if he had, it certainly would not look like this. This… this must be very, very far from the White Autumn or, well, anywhere familiar.

 

The fox stats swimming in the direction of the shore, excited yet unnerved. If this place looks so different, it must be very different, right? And if it is different, there could be dangers in places he would never expect it. He wants to look around, to explore, but at the same time, the very prospect is terrifying.

 

As he swims, the fox looks behind himself briefly. In any case, it seems there is no going back now. There may be no going back ever. So, he must travel onward.

Song got in his boat and got his net ready "I hope there are plenty of fish" He thought as he set out.

A boat! There is a boat setting out! That means that whoever is in there could help him to shore and he won’t have to swim all the way himself. He just hopes that he isn’t mistaken for some exotic type of fish by the person… the… Wha?

 

What is that on the boat?

 

It looks like some black-and-green quadrupedal creature. He cannot fully tell from this distance, but it seems this creature has wings. Perhaps some sort of dragon or pegasus? Odd coloration for both, though. Maybe some entirely new species native to this strange new place.

 

*OOC: Remember, the fox is from a completely different dimension very unlike the one he is in now. So, he has a few preconceptions, such as the coloration of ponies and like species, that do not apply to this dimension.*

 

Driven both by curiosity and the desire to reach dry land, the fox swims toward the boat.

As MidnightSong went farther out he cast his net and hoped for the best "Come on lets catch some fish" he said to himself.

The black-and-green creature tossed something overboard, but the fox couldn’t quite identify what it was from his distance.

 

The fox swims up next to the boat, hoping that pegasus-like black-and-green creature will notice him.

not noticeing the fox Song catchs the fox in the net and turns back to towred the shore "I hope i cought some this time it feels heavy i must have cought some" he said as he pulled the net in the boat heeding back to shore

A net? The creature is pulling in a net? The fox finds himself in just the wrong spot, too. Due to being right next to the boat, where the net is, when the net is pulled up, the fox is caught in it. He is not tangled or anything, but this is still certainly not an ideal situation. But at least now, he is close enough to more closely examine the green-and-black creature. That is, if he can block out the distraction of the fish flopping against him in the net.

 

It does seem to be a pegasus of some sort, but certainly not matching the description he knows of them. Maybe pegasi just look different in this location or maybe the legends were inaccurate. Or, once again, it could be some other type of creature entirely.

 

it seems that the pegasus? has not noticed him yet. If this pegasus? eats fish, though, the fox cannot help but wonder: Does it eat foxes, too? A frightening thought, especially since it is likely strong enough to prevent him from being able to escape or defend himself.

Back on land he put down his catch and draged it into his hunt "Mom i coght some fish this time" he said prodly. as his mother examend her sons catch she noticed fur "Whats that Song" she asked Song looked into the net "Well its not a fish i'll go but this one back he said as he lifted the fox by the tail.

The fox pokes his head out of the pile of fish, giving a cute look to the mother pegasus? after she had asked about the fox.

"Huh i don't know what that is mom what should we do with it" His mother replied"Just go put it back its to furry to eat" his mother said turning away "Tipical mom if its not edable get did of it" He thought as he walked out of the hut "I can't put you back your probley srtaveing here" he said as he handed a fish to the fox

The fox does not need to eat, but he nonetheless takes the fish out of politeness and starts eating it. It is nice to know the pegasi? do not intend to eat him, but what happens now? Does this black-and-green pegasus? want to keep him as a pet? He wouldn’t be kept on a leash, would he? That would not be good.

 

The fox is unsure what to do now. It would be rude to leave now, but staying here forever wouldn’t be good, either. The White Autumn wanted him to go out and discover the world and, well, he has not yet done very much of that, though arriving in this strange place was certainly a positive step. He can at least stay here for a while, though, as a pet or otherwise. After all, there is a friendly pegasus? here to help make sure nothing bad happens to him.

"Hungry little guy arn't you" he said warmly with a smile "Well good luck to you out on the island i hope you find some were to stay for the night i would offer you to stay with me but my mom isn't a fan of pets beside i don't need a pet good bye" he stroted off back into the hut.

The fox finishes eating the fish and looks around. Where shall it go next? Is there any right or wrong answer? Sure, he does not know what leads where, but when one has no destination in mind, can one truly be called lost?

 

The fox takes mental inventory of the directions it can travel. After all, it cannot stay here. The nice pegasus? would get in trouble and, well, there would be no point in staying here.

Fireworks saw a fox on the shore. She glared at it. "Thief." she whispered, for she thought the fox had robbed fish. She barely cought a glimpse of Song entering his hut. "Hey SONG! This fox stole you fish, don't be so careless!" she raced over to his hut.

"Huh oh hi Fireworks that fox didn't steal my fish I gave it to him I thought he might be hungry and I can't let that poor little thing starve"

The fox tilts his head initially at the red pony creature, confused. It seems no polite gesture goes unpunished, not even one so simple as eating. In any case, he starts slowly backing away, sensing he might have to flee if this strange red pony creature decides to take matter into her own hands hooves.

 

However, upon the black-and-green pegasus? (apparently named “Song”) coming out and explaining things, the fox relaxes a bit.

After explaining what was going to Fireworks he turned back to the fox "You might want to head out before more ponys think your a thief"

Fireworks still glared at the fox, but her stare relaxed a bit. "Sorry, sometimes I think everything is a theif when you give them food." she smiled slightly at the Song. "Even though, how many fish did you get today?" she asked.

"Well not to many but they'll last two or three days" he replied "So how's you're family Frieworks?" he asked changing the subject

Fireworks smiled. And sighed remembering her adopted sister." My little sis, Snowglobe, is fine. " Not much longer Snowglobe, a little white filly with light blue mane and tail appeared. "Hey, Firey!" she called " Don't leave me like that.". Fireworks sighed and smiled. "Look tiny, I thought you were going to paint with dirt and a stick today? You said that was your talent after all." Snowglobe pouted. "I wanted to paint with youuu!" the filly looked at Song. "Song!!" she called out. She looked at the fox. " A foxie! A foxie! Like the elders said there's a foxieee!" she called out and went over to the fox.

 

( Does Song know Firework lost her parents? I'm also assuming her little adopted sister knows him."

Snowglobe pouted and stopped running, she was close to the fox but not too close. " So how's your family?" Fireworks asked, keeping an eye out for little troublemaker Snowglobe.
