What if Generation 5 was an amalgamation of all the past pony gens?

Suppose g5 ponies were like a Frankenstein amalgamation of all the previous pony generations- for example: the body of g2 (Friendship Gardens), the forehoof shape of g4, the head shape of G1 (Takara) ponies, and the eye shape of g3. (something like the example shown below)

Would Bronies be pleased or pissed with this new style that drastically differs from the g4/ 4.5 that they're used to?

Anything that ditches the current style but doesn't look as derpy or disturbingly "horse-like" as previous gens would be A-OK in my book. Just keep the deliciously huge anime-esque eyes from g4 pl0x <3

As long as it's just aesthetics, and the style chosen works, I'm all for it. If it were a matter of actually adapting material from previous gens, I'd have more reservations...

I'm rather happy with the current art style of the characters, it's partially what got me into the show.

 

For G5(or 4.5) I'd like to see something close to the current design style of G4 but maybe with a slightly different animation/art style...

 

Maybe something similar to Bugplayer's art style

 

 

Or Heir-Of Rick's style

 

 

 

 

 

Both of which keep similar to the design style of G4, just they give a different interpretation of art style.

 

I'm always fascinated at how different artists draw G4 ponies..

No fucking way! I think horses are MAD scary looking; like terrifying beasts ripped straight from a nightmare! The ponies of g4 look more like adorable Llamas or something xD

I was talking about the altered look of the toy bases, which marks the different generations (not the show and its art style. Though they are supposed to mimic the design of the toy ponies)
