Sunset fears being seen in Starlight

It has long frustrated me that Starlight was made to replace Sunset Shimmer, so SS could stay in the human world with her friends, but as FiM progresses, I see the "justified" reasons that have been shouted by fans wantin my her to stay, and Hasbro's logic coming undone in Starlight. Sunset can't leave her friends!!! But look at Starlight, who replaced her in FiM. She spends more time with Trixie, Discord, and Thorax (but mostly Trixie), nd has pretty much abandoned Sunburst, Double Diamond, Party Favor, Sugar Belle, and Nightglider, who are also supposed to be her friends. (Just like Apple Bloom abandoned Twist).  So why is it ok for Starlight to be thrown into FiM and leave her friends, and Sunset can't?

I think it was more they just had another idea that involved using an antagonistic unicorn affiliated with magic. It's not like Sunset was the first in that regard. Plus from what I remember, Sunset wasn't exactly that popular with fans after the first Equestria Girls movie. Reactions towards her only changed after Rainbow Rocks, which would probably be when more questions and demands to include Sunset into the show would be popping up, and by the point that movie came out season 5 was already either being in the middle of having its scripts being written or was already done, and they would've already known from the start of the writing when planning out the season the direction for Starlight's character by the end of the season.

She only went on one adventure with Discord and Thorax, and then there was the celebration party which of course all four of them would be invited to. Even then, Sunburst and the ponies from Our Town were still there at the celebration party, like when we see Starlight, Sunburst, Thorax, and some changelings talking to each other. Trixie's spent more time with Starlight, but that's probably because her house is portable and can easily just live there in Ponyville. The others don't live in Ponyville, so they're less likely to just be there whenever, not to mention we don't always see what Starlight is doing. During episodes where we see the mane six but no Starlight, she may very well be doing something like visiting Sunburst in the Crystal Empire.

I still wait for Sunset to return. Season 7? Hopefully she comes back.
