How's It Going?

This is my 1st time actually actively involving myself with bronies, not sure really what to say. I am pretty much a closet brony, having only actually told 1 person. I am in Engineering department in the Navy, working as an electrician. I tend to keep it a secret because the kind of people i works with aren't exactly open minded and I would rather avoid the ridicule, since you can't exactly avoid people in your division.

 

I became a brony only maybe 3 or 4 months ago when I was curious enough the see the origin behind some memes I saw involving MLP. Now prior to this, I had the knowledge of previous generations of MLP and I wondered "Why the **** are guys watching this?" I looked it up on youtube and it took a good 3 tries before I could even sit through the 1st episode. After making it through to the cliffhanger I had to watch the next episode and then it kept going till I had watched up to around "Hurricane Fluttershy" episode where I had caught up to the weekly episode.

 

Around this point I had begun checking out the large amount of brony songs, fanfics, and such. It was then I realized that this rabbit hole goes much deeper that I had thought and I had to keep going and here I am now!

 

Anyway, enough of my life story, looking forward to meeting some actual bronies.

My story is similar. Not sure what your coworkers are like, but you might be surprised. I've heard a lot of things about service members being bronies and whole barracks getting into it.

 

There seems to be no end of creativity in this community. There's a lot of love.
